「Soulmate AU」

You can only see your soulmates
Color and yourself while everything
Else is black and white

His two different colored eyes roamed through the crowded streets, He was dead confused as how many people are still strolling in the streets even if it's beginning to dusk outside

He was sent out to a mission around the east, as much as he wants to focus, his mind was being occupied by what seems to be called, soulmates
He looked from left to right, right to left, he knew he was being distracted by his own thoughts but he just wanted to close his eyes and wake up seeing other colors and his soulmate

He has been yearning for love through all his years, Kanroji already got her soulmate, heck, even Giyuu of all people

He was tired seeing the same color ever single day. The color just seemed dead day after day and the more he looks at everything black and white colours of every person around him, it just reminded how worthless they're into his life

Amidst of his thoughts being uninterrupted, Another person from another side of the crowd noticed him and she had the urge to follow Iguro withought introducing herself during the ascent of the moon and that moon is what summons demons that would hunt for their potential prey

As she was following him in the moonlight, she was pulled into a dark alleyway, "Finally, a pretty lady for a once!" A demon said greedily, His eyes was what terrified you the most, his eyes had no pupils. She knew that wasn't normal and that thing that was gripping her arms tightly was definitely not human! He opened his mouth, showing his sharp teeth as he slowly went straight for her stomach to devour

"N-No! Leave me alone!" She cried out

His thoughts maybe louder than humanity itself but his heart stopped beating for a split second when he heard this pleading cry
He remembered why he was there to begin with.

The demon sunked his sharp teeth to her soft skin and the pain was unbearable and she screamed, enough for few people to hear. Iguro came launching towards the demons back. He took a great hit but he was now more focused on the demon than to the colorful being right infront of him and was bleeding

"Come on, let's get you to a doctor!"One of the civilians that had watched this unfold helped the girl to get up. She looked back at them fighting while trying to walk steadily, should he just leave him? It didn't sounded right to her especially when her soulmate was struggling

"You go on ahead and call a doctor, I'll stay here"As much as it didn't made any sense to the civilian, they just nodded and ran away probably didn't wanted to be involved.

She looked around the dark alleyway, the light of the moon being the only source of light she had, she saw a rock, big and sharp enough for her to hold and to injure the demon.

Iguro was panting, the demon right infront of him was weak but speed was probably its specialty.

You we're walking behind the demon quietly trying not its attention.
Iguro noticed the girls silhouette and shouted "Don't do it!" He ran towards the demon, his shouting got its attention and looked behind it although the bleeding girl took the hit before it could. She crushed its skull in a few tries and before it had time to regenerate Iguro had already cut of it's neck and turned into dust

And thats when Iguro got a good look on her features, she had h/c h/c locks that matches with her e/c eyes that was filled with admiration and fear, considering that she just attacked a demon monstrously.

The girl dropped the rock onto the ground and lost her balance aswell, Iguro put his sword back to its place and catched her to his arms and sat down.

He grabbed a few bandages, don't ask how, and wrapped it around her bleeding stomach. "You're eyes.." she muttered then smiled "they're beautiful!" She said cupping his cheeks. Iguri smiled back at her and hold her hand gently and asked "Are you okay?" "Because of you I am"
She replied.

"Y/N"

"Hmm?"

"Y/N L/N"

...

"Obanai Iguro, remember it"

"Sure thing!"

Y/N groaned, "You don't have to do this!" You insisted, you just got home during daybreak with dirt and mud all over you and you were suppose to do whatever was needed for you to do

Obanai was not having any of it, dark grey just doesn't suit you, he says.
You shivered at the cold water that was being splashed onto you
He has a hobby to treat you like a baby or spoil you, not everyday but somedays.

"If you had agreed to me sooner the water would have been warmer"

After taking bath, she got dressed by her own. Not that you change while Iguros in the room but atleast he finally let you be.
Later on that night, you changed into your yukata and decided to head out but a mortal just happened to caught your wrist, "Where do you think you're going?" He asked sternly
"And.. what are you wearing?" He looked at you up and down

"To a festival just around here"She smiled "We should go together!"
What are a great idea you have, why didn't you thought of this sooner?

He only nodded and walked right beside you holding your hand, glaring at any guys who tried to look at you.

"Hey Obanai! Let's go over there to watch the fireworks more clearer"Y/N explained and pulled him towards that location. Obanai couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm and how much she outstanded everyone else.
She has beautiful vibrant colors while everyone.. everything else was plain and dead looking because of the color, it made him feel as if she was the only one important in his life

He didn't understood the point of watching fireworks without any colors nor shade. They both sat down the grassy small hill just as the fireworks started.
"Aren't you gonna watch the fireworks?"Obanai asked and looked over to his girlfriend who looked at him in astonishment

"Doesn't matter when you're even colorful than the rainbow!"

She said and kissed his hand that she had long held. Obanai subtlety rolled his eyes since her line had nothing to do with fireworks but it did spark his heart
