Logan was sitting alone on a beach late at night. He looked up, and the sky had become the blood red of a lunar eclipse. As he watched, stars flew across the sky. He felt a pull like he had never felt before, as if the moon itself was calling him to one specific place. He changed, and started to run. He ran for miles, past humans who couldn't help but stare at the wolf running throughout the city and then through the forest. He came across what looked like whole other packs of werewolves in their wolf-forms. Some looked calm and peaceful, others looked scarred and as if they had been in fierce battles, but they all seemed to be heading to the same place.

The other wolves faded from view as Logan ran through the trees once again, still being pulled to one spot. He broke through the trees and saw a full clearing. He stopped running and sat there, still as a wolf. There were what seemed like hundreds of thousands of other werewolves there, all in their wolf-form sitting and staring at the center of the clearing. There appeared to be a beacon that came down from the moon into the center as the ground itself began to break open and something began to emerge from it. As if on cue, every wolf, including Logan, started to howl...

Logan woke up early that morning, in the forest, but one that he recognized. He had run through that forest in his dream. He was fortunate enough to have his phone with him, and he called his parents, who didn't answer. He felt strange, weak and tired. He'd never felt this before, but his parents have told him about it before. Today was a day of a new moon. Due to this, all werewolves were basically human. No transforming, no matter what, no increased senses or speed that he normally has in his human form.

Without being able to track through smell, Logan used his phone to get back home. When he got home, he found Cassidy at the door, knocking and visibly worried.

"Hey" he said tiredly from behind her

"Oh my god! You scared me!" she said back "Why weren't you inside anyway?"

"I think I was sleepwalking, sleep running in my wolf-form last night" he said "I woke up in the woods after having a very strange dream last night"

"Well, that's interesting," she said "did you stay awake last night to watch the eclipse?"

"There was an eclipse!?" Logan said loudly

"Yeah, and a meteor shower," Cassidy said excitedly "That only happens once every thousand years or so"

"Ok, I need to go inside and get ready for school. Then, we need to talk" said Logan as he walked into the house.

Logan went back to his room and pulled out his phone. He had gotten 2 calls from Jullian. He sat down on his bed and called Jullian back. After only a few rings, Jullian answered.

"Hey, what's up?" Logan asked

"I was worried about you," Jullian responded "Cassidy told me you weren't home, and I got just a little bit worried"

"Awww, that's sweet" said Logan, "I'm sorry that I scared you"

"It's alright." said Jullian "will I see you at school?"

"Yeah, I'm getting dressed rn" responded Logan "I'll be leaving with Cassidy soon"

"Ok, I'll let you finish up. See you soon. Bye" Jullian said

"See you then. Bye" Logan said before pulling his phone away from his ear and hanging up.
