"Hey, I'm gonna have to go" Jullian texted to Logan and Cassidy

"Oh, ok" Logan replied

"Talk to you later?" Cassidy asked

"Yeah, you will" replied Logan "bye"

"Goodnight" texted Cassidy

"Yeah, goodnight" texted Logan

Jullian got dressed and headed downstairs. He texted Hunter.

"Where should we meet?" he asked

"I'm actually waiting on your front porch rn" Hunter replied

"Oh, alright" Jullian said "Be out there in a second"

Jullian walked out of his house and was met by Hunter standing there waiting for him.

"Here, take this" said Hunter while handing Jullian a backpack

"Why do I have to carry this?" asked Jullian

"Because, that backpack has the council book, we just might need it" Hunter replied

"So, why can't you take it?" Jullian asked

"Because, If something happens and I need to quickly transform," Hunter said "It will take too long for me to give you that backpack before transforming."

"Alright then" said Jullian defensively "where do we go?"

"Follow me" said Hunter as he started to walk down the driveway of the house and into the woods.

"Alright then" said Jullian as he started to follow

The two of them walked together for a few minutes through the woods before stopping as Hunter's head shot up.

"What is it" Jullian asked

"SH!" said Hunter "Wild werewolves! Do you trust me?"

"Uh, I guess" said Jullian

"Alright, this is gonna be weird" Hunter said "Get on my back and hold on tight"

Hunter got down on his hands and knees, and he changed. Jullian saw in front of him a white wolf with bright yellow eyes and a subtle brown line around his neck

"Alright then" said Jullian before getting on Hunter's back. Jullian grabbed onto Hunter's fur on the back of his neck.

Once Hunter felt Jullian grab hold, he started to run. Jullian crouched down low against Hunter's back inorder to avoid the tree branches and bushes that they passed. He felt the wind rush over him and looked up to see a sky full of clouds and bright stars. The two of them broke through the forest into a large clearing. There was a rock in the middle of it that appeared to have jutted out from the ground itself. Hunter stopped running. Jullian looked back and saw the wild werewolves pacing around the edge of the forest as if they were afraid of the rock. Hunter looked back at Jullian, who instantly knew what this meant as Jullian got off Hunter's back. Hunter changed back into his human form and stood up.

The two of them started to walk toward the center of the clearing, toward the rock. Which was now looking more like a crystal than an actual rock. The crystal was red, and was emitting a faint glow that Jullian could only barely see, but Hunter could see clearly.

"You ready for this?" Hunter asked

"Ready as I'll ever be, I guess" Jullian replied

"Alright, give me the backpack" Hunter said

"Here" Jullian said while shrugging the backpack off his shoulders and handing it to Hunter

Hunter took the backpack, opened it up, and took out the book. He turned to the page he needed, and there was an image of the crystal. Two spots on the crystal in the picture started glowing.

"The book shows two glows, but I only see one" said Hunter pointing to one of the glow spots on the page

"I see the other one" said Jullian

"Well then, put your hand on it, in that spot," said Hunter

"Alright then" said Jullian

"1...2...3..." said Hunter as the two of them placed their hands on the spots that they could see.

The two of them felt a tingle throughout their whole body. As if in waves, light started traveling from the crystal and through their hands dimming to nothing past their elbows. Hunter felt as if something was traveling up through his body, up to his hand, then it was gone. Jullian felt the same thing but it was traveling through his hand, down his body.

Hunter's eyes flashed yellow before they appeared to flicker from yellow to his original brown eye color, then they stopped. Jullian's eyes began to itch as Hunter watched as his eyes flickered from blue to yellow, until they went solid. They both looked at their hands as the glowing in their arms seized. They removed their hands from the crystal, and the glowing they could see was no longer there.

"Holy crap, this feels amazing!" said Jullian

"Holy crap, is this how you feel all the time!?" Hunter asked while catching his breath.

Jullian bent down low to the ground on his hands and knees. Hunter watches as Jullian's veins blackened, and as his eyes turned yellow. It felt to Jullian like a wave passed over him, and when he looked at his hands, they were nothing more than wolf paws. He watched as the wolf paws turned back into his own hands and arms.

"That felt amazing!" said Jullian

"I know, I'm going to miss it, but you deserve to be happy" said Hunter

"Thank you" Jullian said while going to hug Hunter

"Ok, let's go back home" said Hunter

"Do you wanna walk?" Jullian asked

"Yeah, I'll be fine" Hunter replied

The two of them walked back through the woods and back through to Jullian's house just as the sun started to come up.

"I am exhausted" said Hunter

"How am I not?" Jullian asked

"Now that you're a werewolf, you have an energy reserve to stay awake for 3 days without NEEDING to sleep" Hunter said "But you will still want to sleep every night"

"Ok fine" Jullian said "Are you going to be ok?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine" Hunter replied

"Ok, I'll see you at school Monday?" Jullian asked

"Sure" Hunter replied before walking off to his own house.
