He looked up at her and grabbed a suitcase from her, he took it out to the car a frown on his face as he walked out of the house. He didn't know what would happen next, he didn't want to.
Remington set her suitcase in the trunk he grabs his wallet out of his pocket pulling out a photo of them and opens the suitcase setting it on top of everything in there. He sighs and looks at the photo for a moment. Ash is in the doorway about to come outside. He closes the suitcase and leaves the trunk open for her other bags. He steps away from the trunk, the last day has made this all feel real. She is leaving and he can't change that. She looks at Remington, a sad smile on her face. He walks up to her hugging her, she hugged back, she knew he needed it. So did she. Emerson came outside and saw them he knew they wouldn't last long without each other. Remington was already on the edge and she hasn't even left yet. She was scared to leave, she knew it was hard on him, and that made it harder for her. Her decision felt selfish, to get into a far away art school and do what she wants. Finally she could be happier but she didn't know if this was how anymore. She only did this because Remington encouraged her to. Now he was upset she would go. It was too late now.
She set the rest of her things in the trunk and sat in the back. Sebastian said he would drive there, she agreed because she could sit by Remington and not worry about driving as well. Emerson sat next to Sebastian in the front. He pulled out his briefcase and opened it pulling out a drawing. He glances at Ash and hands her the drawing. It was one of his favorites yet she seems to love it and he knew she would treasure it as much as he would.
It was a small drawing that was held in an old vintage frame. It had a lot of detail. It was hand drawn like all of his art. He also has a small notebook in his briefcase. He wrote his ideas down and wrote the basics of this story he and his brothers created.
Remington glances at the drawing Emerson handed her. Remington never got over how talented Emerson is. He could look at his art for hours and never begin to find everything he hides within. He pours time, patience, and detail into his art. Remington was amazed, and he always knew that Emerson would not only be successful because of the band, but because of his art too.
She leaned onto his shoulder. Her breathing was relaxed and her eyes were beautiful. A dark green, it was the color of the leaves. He held onto the fact that he would be with her soon. He would have to try to see her soon.
The drive to the airport soon ended, Ash stepped out of the car and Remington followed. The other two weren't far behind. Emerson and Sebastian grabbed her bags and they walked into the airport. Remington held her hand for the last time. He could feel his vision fogging up at the time got closer. She hugged him for the last time, tears running down both of their faces as she held him.
"I-I love you," Remington says, he couldn't even stop himself from stuttering.
"I love you too," she says.
"Check your suitcase," He tells her.
"Boarding flight 168." The speaker announced.
"That's me, I'll see you soon, my love," Ash kisses him quickly then lets go of him and grabs her carry on bag heading to the boarding area.
