Say My Name

A few weeks passed and Barbra and Adam slowly started to notice that everyday little things would be moved around the house. Things like pictures, mugs from the kitchen, but mostly, Barbra's clothes. They would be stretched and ripped. It was like something was after them. Like something wanted them dead, but for what reason?

Beetlejuice sat alone on Maitlands' ugly antique couch. Of course, he wasn't truly alone, Barbra and Adam were right there. They were supposed to be dead, Beetlejuice had tried everything, the floorboards, throwing mugs, he even took that God/Satan forsaken baby out of the picture, figuring it would get rid of Barbra and then Adam soon after. But nooo they just had to be relentless. Okay. So, maybe killing their unborn kid wasn't exactly the right thing to do, but he was desperate! They were supposed to be dead and helping Beetlejuice become free again! All they would have to do is get a living human to say his name three times, but that didn't seem like it was going to happen. Maybe, he could make a plan B?

Adam was worried about Barbra. Ever since losing their baby almost two months ago, she couldn't even go to Walmart without clinging to his arm at the sight of a child. She was falling into a depression Adam could only hope he could catch her from. The loss was hard on him too, the only thing they wanted from the day they got married was a baby, and the second they had it, it was ripped away.
Adam glanced over at Barbra, who had fallen asleep on his shoulder while watching Ghost Busters. That was another thing that had her shaken up the past few weeks, the horrible paranormal body that had been messing with them since the day they almost died. It made them both extremely paranoid. But they'd pull through, they always did.
Carefully, Adam laid his Wife onto the couch, making sure she had a pillow under her head and a blanket to cover her body. He stepped into the kitchen for a Midnight snack of whatever he could find as quietly as possible. Invisibly, Beetlejuice followed him.
This is it! Beetlejuice thought if they won't die I'll make them see me myself! With the flick of his hand, a plate flew from the cabinet and shattered at Adam's feet. Frantically, he glanced at Barbra, just to make sure she didn't stir. He then bent down to pick up the pieces of the broken plate, only to be met by a pair of unfamiliar feet. Adam followed the feet up towards its legs than Torso, then to the face of a man with a strange color of green coloring his hair.
"Holy Crap!" The strange man exclaimed, "You can see me! It worked!"
"Yeah? I can see you." Adam stepped back, "Now why the fuck are you in my house?" The man chuckled, "You see, Adam, I am dead, and as a dead person with no real connection to the breathing world, I need something from you." Adam glanced at Barbra again, just to make sure she was safe.

"And what would that be?"

Beetlejuice smirked, "All you gotta do is say my name three times in a row!" Adam gasped, "You're a demon, aren't you? Why would I help a demon?" He tried his best to whisper. "Woah Adam, don't wanna wake the Mrs." Beetlejuice shrugged, "Pregnancy makes women very hormonal." Adam took a second step back, "What do you mean? She's not pregnant!"
"Oh but she is!" Beetlejuice sounded like a giddy little girl, "Just please, do what I ask and I'll make sure she delivers a healthy baby. No tricks, no lies. See? Demons can be nice." The offer was real big, an offer that could change his and Barbra's forever, the change they'd been waiting for, forever. "And you'll never bother us again?" Beetlejuice nodded.

"Fine, what's your name?"
