___________________________“Lazypaw wake up!” I heard Rapidpaw say.
“What is it now Lu- Rapidpaw?” I asked with a groan.
“It's dawn! We are starting our first day of training!” She said happily.
I grumbled again and slowly sat up from the moss bedding “And where is Dry and Pika for this fantastic event exactly?” I asked and I stood up and stretched.
“Dry was sent out on this thing called 'dawn patrol' and Pikapaw is training” she explained, “common, or we'll be late for training!” She said happily as she rushed out of the den and out into the clearing, with a sigh I walked out of the comfort of the apprentice's den.
I scanned the cleaning for the small cream she-cat, in the distance I saw Rapidpaw pouncing around Snowfall happily. “Snowfall!” I called out and rushed over to her.
“Oh hello Lazypaw, can I help you?” She asked kindly.
“Do you know where Lillyear is?” I asked and she nodded.
“I saw her go into the medicine den, she's probably just talking to Spottedfur, they are sisters after all” she explained and I nodded. “Gotta go, Rapidpaw can't train herself now can she?” She said and started walking out towards the gorse tunnel. I sighed and walked towards the medicine den.

I entered the medicine den quietly and almost instantly my nose was filled with the different scents of herbs. How can Spottedfur stay in here all day? I thought, I peeked around the corner and saw Spottedfur and Lillyear talking quietly, I could catch a few words but not enough to tell what they were talking about.
“Can you believe this?...”
“Isn't it against the warrior code?...”
“Surely the other clans won't approve of this when Larkstar mentions it at the gathering...”
“I don't think they are the cats from the prophecy...”
“Um, Lillyear?” I said and her head turned to face me.
“What are you doing in here little brat? Shouldn't you be training?” Lillyear asked as she rolled her eyes.
“You're, um, kind of the cat who's supposed to, train me?” I muttered, looking awkwardly at some random herb.
“Oh, right. I forgot that I have to train the kittypet” she groaned and got up. “I'll talk to you later Spottedfur,” she said as she walked out of the medicine. Spottedfur gave me a sympathetic glance before I ran after Lillyear.

“number 15 of the warrior code is a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet” Lillyear explained. She decided that explaining the warrior code was the best idea for the first training session. “And finally, number 16, a kittypet is to never be associated with clan cats or clan life, allowing such cats into a clan will cause an unnecessary death'” she finished, giving me a glance.
“Why?” I asked she seemed confused.
“Why what?” She asked.
“Why are kittypets not allowed to be associated with clan cats or clan life?” I clarified.
“What am I? The local clan elder that tells dumb kit tales?” She huffed and turned. “If you really want to know ask Icetail or Turtlefoot, they are the ones who tell stories,” she said as she started walking. “Now common, if you don't know how to hunt then you might as well be crow-food”
