jeyjey's pov
**
i heard my alarm blaring in my ear. i rolled to my side and fumbled with my phone for a bit before i could figure out where the dismiss button was. i yawned and threw my legs over the edge of my bed, not ready for the last day of classes.
i used all of my effort to push myself to the ground. the floor was too cold and made me want to curl back up into bed, but nonetheless i made my way to the bathroom to get ready.

benji's pov (woah haven't done this one in a while)
i threw some final things into a pile so it would be easier to pack later, but i felt like i was missing something. i gave my friend and confused look while trying to think of anything i could've lost.
"you good?" tyler asked me.
"uhhh i just think i'm missing something but not sure what it is," i replied. "probably not that important anywa- shit."
"what is it?"
"my mom's necklace. she gave it with me so that i'd always keep her in my thoughts, like i'd forget her. but now that i start to think about it, i don't think i've seen it anywhere since i moved in here."
"so that means it's in your old room."
"i hope so, but also i don't hope so because that means i'm gonna have to contact- you know."
"i can get it for you?"
"no it's okay. i'll do it. make sure i didn't leave anything else there."

i walked up to the door of my old dorm room. i hear the shower running, perfect. i grab the spare key that i forgot to get rid of from my pocket and slowly slide it into the key hole, turning carefully as if an alarm would blare if i went to fast.
the door opened with a small creek and i was in the room. it looked the same, a bit messier though, and without my stuff, but jey was definitely in the shower.
i sped to my bed and dropped to my keens desperately searching for my missing necklace. wasn't on the ground anywhere. i opened my old bedside drawer, empty. i looked anywhere where my stuff had previously been, nowhere to be found. so i tried my last resort. jeyjey's bedside table.
i fumbled with the numerous papers, pins, thumbtacks, paper clips, chapsticks, and anything else you could think of, until i felt a chain of metal touch my finger from the back of the drawer.
i caught a grip on it and pulled. sure enough, my moms silver necklace was wrapped around my finger, the closed locket hanging close to my lap. i shoved it in my pocket, but continued to dig around in the drawer. i'm not sure why, i guess just out of curiosity.
i found some pretty weird stuff. some that probably shouldn't be mentioned but something caught my eye. it was a too small to fit any fully grown adult bracelet. it was bright blue. i picked it up and examined it.
"i got you something," he said, tears still streaming down his face.
"you d-did?" i asked, my face still pointed towards the ground.
he pulled out a friendship bracelet from his pocket. it was green, my favorite color, and said best friends on it. he pulled up his sleeve to show a matching blue one on his wrist.
"it's so we won't forget each other." he explain, pulling his sleeve back down.
i immediately slipped the present onto my own wrist, tightening it to size, and hugging his once again.
"i could never forget you jorge. you're my best friend ever."
"holy shit." i mumbled to myself.
