Part 15

Blinded by the sun, I got up and opened my curtains. I stood and looked out at the other houses in the street, bliss, the sound of nothing. My favourite. Ruby can sleep all the way through the night now which is amazing! I picked up my ripped and ratty diary and flicked over to what I wrote last night about Eric, wether I will see him again or not I don't really care it was so much fun.
*beep beep* *beep beep*
2 messages at once? One from Eric and the other from Josh, Josh wanting the day with his daughter and Eric wanting to hang out. Woah, I need to slow things down I have to think of mine and Ruby's safety first.
*knock knock*
I answered the door to a guy in a tracksuit and flowers, Josh. The lazy slob. "Oh, it's you, hi" I moodily said wishing I didn't. "Amanda? Are you ok?" He said while letting himself in. "Do come in Josh, I love your loving company" he sharply looked at me with his big bushy eyebrows and those eyes I always liked "Amanda sit down" I sat. "We need to talk" ugh, I hate this. I want to tell him to leave but I don't want to be rude, after all we are still friends I guess. "Ok, shoot" I said after hesitating slightly. "I know your 'friend' Eric" I nodded. He stood up and pulled me up with him "Amanda he is a bad guy" I rolled my eyes "oh please just stop. You're an idiot" I went to grab Ruby so Josh could take her to the park. "Josh can I come to the park aswell?" He smiled "yes of course" he soon shot his best smile on his face and put Ruby in the pram.
The sound of silence walking to the park, my favourite sound I said before and I am taking it back... Awkward is an understatement. "I'm meeting Eric here" I started the convosation with. Josh soon finished it with his silly sense of humour "bye then, go ruin your life" I know I shouldn't of, but I hugged him and gave him a peck on the cheek. I miss him around, I know, I know I can't make my mind up. Josh, Dan and now Eric? Boy this life is getting risky!
Eric walks up, takes my hand and walks me down the street. "Bye Josh!" I shouted whilst walking away "bye Amanda! I will be at yours about seven o'clock!" He shouted. Eric pulled a look of evil at me and Josh "Eric?" I said just a quick second before he put his hand over my mouth and shoved me in the trunk of his van, "ERIC! ERIC!" Desperate need of help and care "SHUT UP" he replies with.
Sick in my mouth, tears in my eyes, shivers down my spine. Nervous, fearful, scared. All under statements of my emotions and feelings at this second. "Where am I?" I asked as soon as he opened the van door "that's not important" he helped me out the van "Eric I don't understand, please take me home" I'm literally about to collapse of fear. "No" he took my hand, dragged me as far as he could and we reached this old, abandoned old burnt down building that by the looks of it everyone forgot about "I'm protecting you" he wiped my tears away "forget about your family, your friends everything" he said. "We will have a family and live here! No one can stop us. You love me Amanda and you will give me the family I deserve" he slammed and locked the door. I had no phone signal or battery life. All I had was the rotten smell of blocked drains and damp. I looked out the small window I guess I should now call my bedroom window, I didn't know what to do. What to say or think. Actually, I lie, I think Eric should be in a mental hospital. I saw a road sign, I knew exactly where I was. An old farm house this was, I came here when I was a little girl to ride the horses.
"Amanda?" I heard an echo down the halls. "Eric baby! There you are!" I ran and hugged him. Pfft, he thinks I love him. Pathetic. "Please promise me something Eric" he sighed and kissed my forehead "anything my love" I rolled my eyes at the cringe moment I just had 'my love' "do not lock that door again, I thought you left me for dead" he chuckled "no, I left you to get food and stuff silly! We are gonna spend all day everyday together from now on!" I laughed "what's in the briefcase?" I asked. "NOTHING" he soon sharply replied with. "Oh, ok" I didn't know what to say.
-1 hour later-
"Amanda baby I'm going in the shower, it's down the hall if you need to take one" he said. "Ok Eric, don't fall over" he laughed. As soon as I heard him lock the bathroom door I walked over the creaky floorboards and opened the briefcase, it was a gun. A loaded gun full of bullets.
I might need that one day, to make sure Eric doesn't bother me, or Ruby again.

After I heard the shower get turned off I quickly locked the briefcase again and sat down back on the cold flooring, thinking about my baby girl.
*ring ring*
It's Josh ringing my phone, I HAVE SIGNAL! "Josh can you hear me?-hello?-"
"Amanda hi, where are you it's half seven I'm sat on your doorstep"
"Josh come get me, I'm at the old burnt farmhouse. Eric kidnapped me and wants to start a life with me here" I'm whispering incase he can hear.
"Ok i won't be long-"
I stopped his trembling words, he loves to babble.
"He has a gun" tears fell down my face in a fast moving motion.
" Amanda don't be scared,I'm on my way now, me and our girl. Think of her and time will fly over. See you soon"
He cut me off.
Who'd of thought, Josh, the lazy slobbish f*cking life saving hero that I'm starting to love all over again......
