Break went by quick, so you were back at school, yet doing nothing but sitting there. Kakyoin and you grew closer, and the feeling became stronger. Jotaro, however, seemed more upset each day.

Kakyoin and Jotaro became close as well, sharing quite a few laughs and inside jokes. It made you a bit cheerful seeing them hang out like that.

The school bell rang, and it was time to go home. Occasionally you, Jotaro, and Kakyoin would stay after school, goofing around while cleaning. Today was your turn to clean the classroom.

There was a knock on the classroom door, so you opened. There stood Kakyoin and Jotaro, Jotaro with sodas cans in his hand.
"Hey!"
"Hi."
You allowed them in, picking up the broom and began to sweep. Your name was called by Jotaro
"Y/N."
"Yeah?"
"Catch."
From across the room, Jotaro threw a can at you, and you managed to catch it in one hand. Kakyoin, amazed, exclaimed, "Nice!" You opened up the soda and chugged it.

You finished early, so you and the two men messed around, drawing weird things on the chalk board. By the time it was 6, the remaining staff in the school had began asking students to head home. The three of you walked home, dropping Kakyoin off first.
"Bye!"
"Cya."
When it was just you and Jotaro, out of the blue, he asks,
"..Do you like Kakyoin?"
"What?"
"You heard me."
You hesitated, not sure whether to tell him or not. You indeed did have feelings for him, just desperately trying to ignore them.
However, Jotaro was your closest friend and you could never lie to him.

You hesitate.
"...Yes."
"..."
Jotaro, already saw it coming. Although he didn't expect it to hit him this hard. He was heartbroken. You were a blunt person, so there was no way you could be lying.
"I see. I'll keep it a secret."
"Yeah."
You noticed a large wave of sadness overpower Jotaro. He held his head low, not speaking much for the rest of the walk. You reached your home.
"Bye, Jojo."
"Yeah."
You notice Jotaro wipe something from his face. Something from his eye, to be exact. He sniffed, and walked home. You walked in the house, noticing all the lights off. Hitomi had told you today she would be out early. Where was she? Did she go out? No, that isn't like her. Even if, she would've told you. You open up your phone to send a text.

To:Hitomi
Where are you?

It had been well over 10 minutes. No response.

You were already ready for bed, quite concerned about Hitomi. You tried to call her. No response. You didn't know what was happening. Did her phone die? Did she leave it somewhere? Why is she not home yet? Where is she? All these questions in your head overwhelmed you. You shook your head aggressively, beginning to text Jotaro.

Y/N
Hitomi said she would be here early but she isn't. She hasn't answered any of my calls either. I'm concerned

You put your phone down, tangling your hands in your hair, sighing in stress. You had this weird feeling. What if she doesn't come back?

Jotaro felt weird going to your house after being heart broken. He tried his best to embrace it, the fact that you two were only best friends, nothing more. You liked someone else, and there was nothing he could do. He should at least be a good friend. He quickly wipes another tear, before knocking on your door.

You open the door, to be greeted by a Jotaro without his cap, wearing a loose fitted shirt and sweats. His eyes were puffy and red. You welcome him in, quickly running up the stairs with Jotaro behind you.

Both of you guys sat on the bed, chatting away. Hours passed by and it was midnight. The two of you were laying there lazily, still chatting.
"Jeez, why isn't she here yet? I have a bad feeling."
"I'm sure she'll be home soon."
You sigh again, before rolling over.

Before you knew it, you had fell asleep in worry. Jotaro, looks over at your side, noticing your eyes shut. He sighs in defeat. Looking up at the ceiling. He had to get over it. He plays with your hair softly, not realizing that he accidentally let some tears out.
