Chapter Nineteen: Luck

You continued weeping in his chest.

The doctor and a couple of other nurses walked in quietly.
"L/N-San, Kujo-San, I'm afraid to say this but it's time we take Noriaki."

You looked up at them slowly, whispering softly with a shaky voice.
"Can I please have more time..?"

The staff hesitated, before nodding.
"Very well. We will give you five minutes."

You thanked them silently, looking back at Kakyoin.
You sighed, letting more tears roll down your face.

You leaned in, staring at Kakyoin's face.

Placing a tender peck on his cheek, you murmured,
"Farewell."

However, this was not the end.

Just like magic, the heart monitor began to make noise, and Kakyoin's chest began to move again.

Jotaro's eyes widened.

You stood there in shock, not knowing what to say.
"...Kakyoin..?"

He grumbles with a quiet, deep voice.

Kakyoin opened his eyes slowly, placing his gaze at you first, then Jotaro.
"What..?"

You dropped to your knees, burying your face in his chest.
"Kakyoin..! I'm not dreaming!"

Jotaro smiled softly at Kakyoin, wiping his eyes.
"What happened..?"

You stayed silent, before replying with a trembly voice.
"I thought you died.."

Kakyoin placed a hand on your back.
"I could never leave you, my Y/N."
You looked at Kakyoin, your eyes red and puffy.
"Without you, I don't know where I would be right now."
"I wouldn't know either."

Jotaro sighed, mumbling softly,
"I'm glad you're still here with us."
The pink haired showed a weak smile.
"I'm glad I'm still with you both as well."

You lifted your face, staring directly in his eyes.

He chuckled softly.
"What?"

You reddened, before mumbling,
"I love you."

He broke into a smile, placing a hand on yours.
"I love you too."

You leaned closer to his face, placing a hand delicately on his cheek.

You placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

Jotaro stood there quietly, faintly smiling..

He still loved you deeply, that was for sure. But seeing you more happier than ever like this was fine with him. It made him happy too.

After an hour of many tests on Kakyoin, oddly enough, it was safe for him to be released. Was this magic that was happening?

The three of you walked out, letting the warm air hit your face.

You slowly locked your hand in Kakyoin's.

"It feels good to be outside!"
You smiled at the pink haired male.

Jotaro winked at you, announcing,
"I'm going to go smoke a cigarette."

You nod at him, leaving you and Kakyoin alone. He seemed to be gone, but really, he was hiding behind the building, ready to spy.

You stood face to face, entwining both your hands in his.

"I hate to say something so cheesy, but..

Without you, I probably would not be here.

You make me and Jotaro's days so much lighter.
