I had fallen into the water.

It hit my back hard, thats for sure.

It's cold.

Wait.

It's warm.

Why is it turning red?

Is this the end for me?

Y/N...
———————————————————————————

You awoken to the sounds of people, people speaking, and an engine.

You heard soft cries from a familiar deep, husky voice.

Opening your eyes slowly, there was Jotaro, who's arms were on his knees and his face buried in his hands.
"Jotaro..?"

He looks up immediately, with those beautiful turquoise eyes.
"Y/N.."

You looked over to your right, seeing a pink haired male with cherry earrings, badly injured, laying there peacefully.

Was that Kakyoin?

You blinked hard, realizing it was Kakyoin. You remember suddenly.

Your clothes were wet. The blood was gone. The gloves were still on your hands.

You laid your head back down, sighing.

You felt no emotions.
Why couldn't you cry? Couldn't you feel anything? What was happening?

"Y/N.. Are you alright?" You look up at Jotaro.
"I guess."

Jotaro stared into your E/C eyes. Once filled with excitement and joy.. Filled with personality. What showed now was a girl. A girl who only had a functioning body, her emotions?

Tsk, what were those?

The ambulance the three of you were in had finally reached the hospital, urgently pushing the two stretchers inside. You were in one of them.

They pushed the stretchers into separate rooms, leaving just you and the staff together. The performed all sorts of tests on you to only reveal you were fine.

A nurse walks in, carrying some pills and a glass of water.
"Here. Take these."
"..."
"Do you need any food?"
"..No."

She nods, walking out the door. As instructed, you swallowed the pills, and chugged the water. You thought for a moment.

Why did Kakyoin do that? Did I even deserve it?

Is he okay?

An hour passes by, and the door finally opens.
The same nurse comes in.
"You're free to go."
"Where is Kakyoin's room? Noriaki Kakyoin."
"Room 348. Make a left and you'll find it."

You nod, thanking her.

You found the room, which didn't take long, and walked in slowly. Jotaro sat there, spaced out.
"Jotaro."
You caught his attention, and he looked up.
"..."

You sat down, next to Jotaro and looked at Kakyoin. His hair was still damp, revealing his forehead.

You sighed, looking around the room in curiosity. There were pipes and weird gadgets surround Kakyoin.

If he didn't save you, you could've been in his place.

You could've been..

Free.

Sunset had arrived, and a nursed had asked the two of you to leave.

You and Jotaro walked out of the building in silence.
What were you going to do with the house? Should you.. Sell it? Move into an apartment?
You needed to find a job.

The two of you reached Jotaro's house, seeing Holly wait outside.
"Oh dear! Are you two okay?"
She pulls both of you into a hug.
The two of you stay silent.
"Y/N.. Your hair.. Did you fall into the water or something?"
You hesitated, before mumbling,
"Yes. I was clumsy enough to fall into the water. Sorry."
"It's okay, just wash up and I'll prepare some food!"

You walked to your room, sliding the door shut and sat cross legged right in front of it.

You shouldn't stay here any longer. You'd be a burden. You're going to bother them.

You thought about Kakyoin, hoping him the best.
