As they were waiting for their food, the two were talking to each other about idol life, their companies, their members, their hate for Dispatch.
"They had to drag me out of my bed" Jennie explained about this morning's events to Jungkook, he chuckled, "My members are too scared to even touch me" Jungkook said, she gave him a face of confusion, "Why?" She asked.
He smiled lightly, "They don't really want to mess with me after what happened with Dispatch" he explained, "But they're older than you, why would they be scared?" Jennie asked, Jungkook smirked, "I think you underestimate my strength" He said, Jennie chuckled.
They were starting to get along, Jungkook has never really had a full conversation with a girl, he tries to stay away from them, sure he has Nancy but they have sex more than they exchange words.
Even when they talk, Jungkook always gets distracted in some way, he knew it was bad but he couldn't help but get bored, he would always look in another direction rather than straight at Nancy, but for Jennie it was weirdly different, he couldn't keep his eyes off of her, he would minimize his blinking just to keep his eyes on her, the way she talked kept him so intrigued, it was weird for him, he's never been so focused on someone.
Jungkook was extremely blown away by her presence, he remembered seeing her on a cover of Dispatch once, it was about a dating scandal, he couldn't help but wonder what happened to her and her ex, who was it? Kai, he remembered seeing reports of them a few weeks ago, he remembered pitying the girl and the guy, 'who are they to invade other's personal life?' He thought.
"Table 153 your order is readั" The cashier said, Jungkook quickly looked at their table's number, he realized that it was their order so he stood up to go get the orders.
He looked at Jennie, "I'll get them" He said and walked off, he saw the same cashier Jennie told off a few minutes ago, she looked drained, "Thank you for ordering, enjoy your food" She said unenthusiastically and walked off.
Jungkook grabbed the big tray with all the food inside and a separate tray for the drinks, he was walking back to their table when suddenly he saw a familiar figure outside the window.
"Fuck" he mumbled as he thought he saw Nancy, he kept walking but didn't pay attention to where he was walking so he walked and hit a chair making his stumble, he quickly stiffened his grip on the food tray and it didn't fall but he forgot to do the same for the drink tray.
When he realized what happened it was too late and Jennie's peach cream soda was all the way back at entrance of the Café and his coffee was all over Jennie.
"Jennie! Are you ok?" Jungkook asked and quickly rushed to her, "Do you have any burns? Does it hurt? Was the coffee hot?" Jungkook asked as she stood up, "I'm fine" She said and tried to wipe off the latte from her dress, "No burns, just sticky" She said reassuring him.
He was confused, "How? I ordered a hot latte" He said, "I think that's the fault of the cashier I told off" She said and pointed at her, "Oh" He exclaimed realizing what she did, to get back at the two the cashier gave Jungkook room temperature coffee to annoy him but her revenge ended up helping Jennie.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Jungkook asked, she smiled, "I'm fine, but ants might start eating me alive" she joked, he couldn't help but smile.
