───── ❝ jennie ❞ ─────

To say Jennie was nervous is an understatement. She was straight up terrified of how her contract husband's mother would think of her. It wasn't like Jungkook sugarcoated his words at all, he was more like 'expect the worst' when they were talking about meeting with his parents.

Jennie felt less tense after he told her about his mother's like towards his friends, and they were just that so she had to like her... right?

She remembered yesterday when they were eating, she looked slightly nervous and she was sure he saw it. The girl remembered him grabbing her hand and looking into her eyes with a warm and gentle smile making her feel a million butterflies fly around her stomach.

Jungkook told her to just be herself. He said he knew his parents would really like her and he trusted and knew that she would make a great first impression. That was all she needed.

He always knew how to cheer her up or encourage her, just being around Jeon Jungkook made her happy. Even when they're not with each other, she would still think of him and that could easily make her day better. That being said, she was afraid that she thought of him way too much.

Maybe they weren't just friends... That's not possible... he didn't show any signs that he even remotely likes her. The only times they kissed he was either trying to prove a point or cheer her up, it wasn't like he wanted to. Jennie valued their friendship and wouldn't just let her feelings get in the way of it... She wasn't even sure she knew what her feelings were. Putting up boundaries about what they could and couldn't do as friends was the right call.

Then why does she regret it so much?

"Jennie would you like anything? Water? Maybe some wine?" Jungkook's father offered her. "She doesn't drink, dad" Jungkook told his father as they walked into the living room making his father nod in response "Just water then?" his father asked her "Yes, thank you" she said with a small smile and bowed watching the man walk off to the kitchen. 'he remembers I don't drink?' she asked herself.

Jennie walked beside Jungkook as his mother led. He turned over and smiled at her making her return the smile. "You nervous?" he asked in a quiet tone, she shrugged and sheepishly smiled "Not that much anymore" she replied making him chuckle lightly. "We got this" he reminded her. "I hope we do".

Jungkook put a hand on her shoulder, "I know you'd like to complain about me a lot to them but I am begging you to not go too hard" he said and pouted like a little puppy begging for food.

Jennie giggled, "I thought you liked it rough?" she joked and nudged his shoulder. He eyed her weirdly after making an untimed sex joke "I forgot you're nowhere close to being innocent" he said making her scoff. "You thought I was innocent?" she asked. "Not necessarily, just not the type of person to make a sex joke" he whispered hoping his parents wouldn't here their little conversation.

"But hey you are Jennie Kim so always expect the unexpected" he smirked as he said that. She always liked when Jungkook would let out one of his enticing smirks, he's attractive no doubt. "Just take a seat here dears" his mother told the two and they put a pause to their little conversation.

Jennie sat down on black leather couch opposite side of another one that his mother sat on. Jungkook took a seat next to her and stared straight at his mother. Soon Jihyun returned with a glass of water in hand and gave it to Jennie, "Thank you sir" she said and bowed.
