"That's basically it" Jennie ended her story off, by now, they haven't really gone anywhere since it was raining, thundering and most of the roads were blocked off.
Despite trying to drive themselves safely to their houses, Jungkook was listening to her attentively, never interrupting and letting take breaks when it was too much to her, if she didn't feel uncomfortable saying something, he wouldn't force her to.
"Did you really think I wouldn't want to know if you were ok?" he asked her in a calm tone, she paused before answering, "Yeah..." she replied breathily.
Jungkook sighed, "Did he hurt you?" he asked her, she was confused, "What?" she questioned, "Kai.. Did he touch you?" Jungkook asked with a slightly angered tone, "No.. no.. he's not like that, he was right, I'm a fucking terrible person" she confessed making him face her.
"Don't say that" he told her, Jennie's eyes darted to the window, "You're not a bad person" he said, she sighed.
"It wasn't even your fault you had to break up with him, it was our companies... You did the right thing not telling him, if you did he'll tell his company and we'll be the ones getting lawsuits" he told her and looked back at the road.
Jennie nodded, "We know this industry is fucked up, but we chose this path" Jungkook reminded, Jennie lightly smiled, "I don't regret it" she said, "Just to see BLINKs, I'm willing to do anything" she said, Jungkook chuckled, "Same for the ARMYS" they both smiled.
"You did what you were told to do.. The only thing you did wrong was not tell someone about how you felt" Jungkook said.
Jennie looked down, "And you also got me wrong" he added making her look straight up at him, he gave her a warm smile.
"Jen, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here" he told her, she looked at him gratefully and nodded.
The car was silence for a mere second before a bolt of lightning came and it made Jennie almost jump out of her seat.
She screamed in shock, Jennie never liked loud sounds, especially thunder or lightning.
"Shit" Jungkook cursed before hitting the brakes abruptly, the two slam head first into the AC.
Jungkook grunted in pain, he looked over to Jennie who was doing the same, "Crap, are you ok?" He checked on her.
"Yeah.. Fuck, what'd you do that for?" Jennie asked before looking up, she saw that there was a huge tree that had fallen and blocked their path.
Jungkook looked back to see if there was any car behind them, there were no headlights and no movement so they were safe.
"The storm is too strong, I don't think we can go to your house with this weather" he brought up, she cursed under her breath, Jungkook grabbed his phone and searched GPS to see if there was any way around the tree and blocked paths.
He found out that his apartment was only a few kilometers away, "My apartment's just a few kilos away, you can stay the night if you want and I'll drop you off in the morning" Jungkook told her.
Jennie took a moment to think and agreed, "I'll call my members and tell them" she told him but was stopped with a grip on her wrist by Jungkook.
