Addie and I were back in the wings of a Arizona stage, watching as Demi pumped up the crowd and sang passionately into the microphone. The woman obviously put everything she had into every single performance, and it was honestly entrancing to watch, even from backstage.

"We did it! It was awesome! We did it! It was awesome!" Demi sing-songed as she ran off stage, hugging both Addie and I while somehow simultaneously bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet.

"You're weird."

Dinah praised Demi for her performance, giving the popstar a tight hug while Normani simultaneously fist bumped her. The group then continued to discuss plans for their next shows while Addie leaned her way towards me, her chin resting against my shoulder blade.

"So we don't get meet and greets, right?" Addie started coyly and I met her eyes cautiously. What is she up to now?

"Riggghhhhttt."

"And we were talking about how cool it would be to meet our fans right?" Addie continued in the same voice with a small, cautious smirk on her face.

"What did you do, Adelaide Lee?"

"Nothing! . . . Yet!"

"Adelaide, please tell me you didn't do something dumb."

"Me? Making impulsive and stupid decisions? Never!"

"Get to the point already, dumb bunny."

Why is it that all our conversations go this way?

"Okay, okay! What if I told you that a little birdy told me that after most shows, a lot of the fans hang out in the parking lot to see if we'll come out that way to meet them. Do you wanna go check and see if they're there? Annnnnd, if they are, maybe we could do a little performance for them! Like a sing along!" Addie rushed out in one breath, obviously trying to say everything she wanted before I had a chance to even think about objecting.

"Was that little birdy Ally?" I ask, Addie's chin still resting against my shoulder as I rested the side of my head against her head.

"How did you know?!"

"Because she told me the same thing last week."

"Can we do it, can we do it!?"

"Addie, isn't it dangerous?"

"Probably, but it'll be fun!" Why is it that Addie's always the one getting us in situations where we'll later get in trouble?! It wasn't ever me that got us in trouble for sneaking out or staying up too late. . . it was always Miss Adelaide Lee Emerson.

"Alright I guess. Let's go before I regret letting you talk me into this," I eventually sighed after a moment's pause, forcing a breath out through my nose.

I held my best friend's hand in my own as we left the safety of our group of friends and headed out the back venue doors and to the parking lot. . . where there were a little more than a few dozen people standing around; all of them immediately screaming when they spotted Addie and I.

"OH MY GOD, IT'S ADDIE AND BELLA!"

"THEY'RE ACTUALLY HERE!"

"MADELINE HELP I THINK I MIGHT PASS OUT."

"Alright, no one better pass out." Addie said with a small chuckle, the entire crowd going so silent that you could hear a pin drop. It was insane. "Did you guys enjoy the show?"

And the silence was gone, everyone cheering over one another although for some reason unbeknownst to me, it wasn't scary like I thought it would be but almost thrilling instead.
