All hell had broken loose, as per usual, with everyone on the tour running around at the last second to get their belongings together before we left. I had gathered most of my things but was unsure as to where my most important belonging, Bella, had wandered off to.
Adelaide: yo where the heckity heck are you
Bella: Sorry lost track of time. Heading back to the room now.
Adelaide: you aren't even gonna acknowledge my whole heckity heck thing?
Bella: Nope.
Adelaide: rude!!!!!!!!!
Moments later, I heard the door click open as Bella came in, her phone in hand as she smiled over at me.
"There you are," I began. "I thought you had been eaten by a Demogorgon."
"You made fun of Bea the other day for knowing what a Demogorgon is, and now you're out here being the biggest hypocrite in the world. Besides, I was just outside, not being eaten."
"Hey, it's what I do best!" Addie stuck her tongue out at me childishly. "Anyway —"
"Anyway, I need to pack," Bella interrupted me with a smirk, our arms unlinking so that she could collect her bag from beside our bed.
I had no idea how she had done it, but she had managed to fit everything into her bag perfectly, only having to carry her blanket in her arms, unlike me. I had at least a quarter of my things in my arms due to the fact that I couldn't get them to fit into my bag, despite the fact that they had all fit in there less than 24 hours ago. Deciding that it was too difficult to stand there with everything in my arms, I left Bella to pack as I headed off to the tour bus so I could put my stuff down.
Bea seemed to be the only other person accompanying me on the tour bus while we waited on the others to join us. The pair of us just sat on the small couch area together, talking about where we were going next.
"Have you ever been to Colorado?" Bea asked me, curiosity upon her features as she spoke.
"Nope. I heard the zoo there is really cool though. Have you been?"
"My family went there once, but the zoo wasn't that great. I've been to better ones. Besides, I don't really like zoos."
After talking for a while, I decided that I felt like a coffee but realised that I would have to wait 13 hours to actually buy one. After whining to Bea about it, she reminded me about the coffee machine that was hiding in the corner.
"I don't know how to use one of those!" I groaned. "They're too fancy for me."
"Wait for Lindsey to get here — she'll know!"
Deciding that Bea was probably right — Lindsey seemed to know everything around here — the pair of us continued to chat until everyone else boarded the tour bus. Lindsey had laughed when I told her I didn't know how to use the coffee machine but nonetheless told me not to worry about it, the woman making me a coffee which warmed me from the inside out.
As we set off to Denver, Colarado, everyone who was on the tour bus quickly found themselves something to do, whether it be sitting on their phone, playing cards or listening to music in their bunk. Bea had left to play cards with Demi, while a few of the crew members disappeared to their bunks, but Bella — you see, Bella seemed to be the exception.
"Addie I'm boreddddd." Bella threw her body across my legs, causing me to chuckle as I shifted her head so that it was resting on my thigh.
"We've been the road for less than an hour Bells," I stated, placing the pen and notebook that were in my hands down as I braided and unbraided part of her hair absentmindedly.
