Chapter 9 New Beginnings

Ok guys comment if you like the story so far if you don't just stop reading it. Lets all be mature and share this story....................

We practically sprinted through the camp to the gate and when we arrived I was shocked at what was there. The guards that were supposed to guard the gate were ripped to pieces in between the two portions of the gate and the top of the gates were bent out of shape and covered in claw marks. General Henry and three fully armed soldiers stood around inspecting the scene. General Henry spun around to meet me.

"It seems you arrived before our head doctor did, so what the hell do you think did this?" General Henry asked me.

"I have no idea, I've never seen an infected or a jackal do this kind of damage."I answered

"Jackal, that's what you call the Alfa infected. Anyway your correct Alfa s never rip their prey apart like this unless there is a group of them, even then they wouldn't leave this much meat on the bodies." General Henry said.

A man in a labcoat and teal shirt poking out from underneath and wearing white slacks and brown leather shoes walked quickly towards the scene and stopped infront of the fence.

"Very interesting, these men weren't feasted apon just ripped apart."the man said

"Dr. Sein, did you say they weren't made into a meal just in the way?"General Carter asked.

"Yes, the creature that did this has a purpose but seems to be smarter than the Alfa infected. Alfa infected like a fight but in the end just want to eat what ever did this wasn't just mindlessly wandering around it came her for a reason." Dr. Sein said.

A moment later a scream accompanied by gun shots sounded from further in the village. We all rushed in the direction of the noise to find they were eminating from the mess hall. We arrived finding several mutilated bodies out infront of the building and bullet casings littering the ground. I pulled out my spear head knife being the only one I had left and ran inside ignoring the pleads of thr people behind me. Inside the scene was just like it was outside mutilated bodies everywhere. I looked to where we were sitting to find Mason with Jayden behind him, Mason was frantically looking around the room when his eyes found me.

"Tas there is some kind of monster in here it likes to hide so be ob your guard."Mason shouted across the room.

Then a few moments later the soldiers and General Henry burst into the room with their weapons drawn.

"Be careful, Mason said that there is a monster in here and it likes to hide."I told them.

"Ok men you heard him, split up and search the room if you find what it is kill it or alert us." General Henry ordered.

We all split up and walked in different areas looking under tables and checking bodies to see if they have turned. I had almost made my way to Mason when I heard a strange growl from behind me. I spun around to see that a creature with long protruding fangs and hands that had large bone like claws protruding ftom them, its was on all fours and as I could tell its feet were the same as it's hands just smaller than its hands, it's body was the same as a jackals, green and bumpy, and its eyes were blood red glowing with rage. It moved forward and just looked at me as if it was inspecting me then without warning it leaped on top of me and brought its mouth close to my throat but before it could sink its teeth in I jammed the blade hard into its left eye, quickly pulled it out, then sent the blade into the other eye. It screeched loudly and placed its hands over hits head shaking violently back and forth. I pulled my feet to my chest and thrust them forward knocking the creature off of me onto its back. I jumped on top of it and raised my blade to finish it but before my blade hit it, it raised its head up lightning fast and dug its teeth into my shoulder. I shouted then I repeatedly drove the blade into the side of its head before its grip loosened and finally it fell to the floor the side of its head looking like a bunch of hamburger meat. The last thing I remember before passing out was Elexis running to my side...............
