This chapter shows you how badass I would actually be if an event like this occured, I'm cold hearted, very fast on my feet, and I'm extremely loyal. Enjoy the carnage keep in mind I'm a sophmore in high school and don't have free time like some do I will be making a new chapter every week so look forward. This chapter goes out to the deadland chronicles..................................
It had been three weeks since the outbreak occured. Everything was as I thought it would be except, I was alone. I stood there in the middle of the dead bodies of over fifty infected. Half of which was formerly my group. Everyone I knew was dead I was the only survivor that I knew of. It occured to fast for anyone to react. We they weren't prepared for the worst at any time like I was. Now they were dead because of they let their guard down. I was always alert, always ready to fight at a moments notice. I didn't think people would be this evil, this cruel. That night we, a group of about 25 souls, were hold up in a forested area with a makeshift fence and tents in a circular fashion. That night most were celebrating our good luck on finding supplies the previous day. We had found a gold mine of food and water when my brother stumbled across a doomsday bunker fully stocked with supplies. There was a loaded old fashioned musket. The thing only had one shot but still someone took it. I did not use guns mainly because we only had four and one was the musket. Two were 9mm handguns and we had a hunting rifle as well that my groups previous leader, whose name no longer mattered, used. I figured out what happened before anyone even noticed a semi had dumped a large load of infected near us. I was in a tree not far from the camp taking a nap when I started to hear screams coming from the camp. In a rush I jumped out of the tree and pulled out my spearhead shaped switch blade and ran over towards the camp. I arrived just to see the semi driving off with the back doors still wide open. I then refocused on what was happening in front of me, my group being ripped apart by a horde of infected. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was speechless, I just got so angry I started walking through the camp at a sped pace and went on killing the infected. Now there was no more screaming just a silence and the infected had stopped eating their victims and stared at me as if I was a huge threat. Then out of the the crowd a jackal emerged and it was as gruesome as the one that killed my mother. Since then I had realized there was a bit of intelligence lefy in the infected. Jackals were like pack leaders or the alfa of them. Finding a jackal was like finding a needle in a haystack.  Apparentely sometimes when an infected was exposed to nuclear radiation, I mean a lot of it, the virus mutates snd changes the host body with it into what I call a jackal. Blood was dripping from its mouth onto the ground below. A few moments later the jackal lunged forward at me but I tumbled to the left with him nearly hitting me and ramming its head into the side of a tree. I was already on my feet speeding towards him as he started to get up still recovering from his collision with the tree. By the time he was standing up I was an foot away when I rammed my knife into the side of his skull only to be thrown back with my knife in hand  to the ground. I knew these guys were tough and one hit wouldn't do it so I sprung back up and pulled one of the steak knifes off my belt. Then at that moment he shrieked and charged me again this time knocking me down on the ground with him on top of me. He lifted his head up and let out a snarl and as he was about to bite down on me I shoved both of my knives in his eyes blinding him. Then I shoved him off of me and took another knife from my belt. He started screeching and flailing around his arms on the ground. I grabbed the knife tightly and dove through the air at him and landed the blade directly in the center of his head . His movemment stopped and his body went limp. I pulled my knives out of his now rotting corpse and put one of them back on my belt. I kept the other two out because my struggle wasn't over yet. Behind me the infected dropped their pack mentality any signs of intelligence and started started their slow shamble towards me. I readied my blades and raced forward tearing into the two first infected dropping them to the ground. Now they had surrounded me and were within inches of ripping me apart when I started thrusting my blades into their skulls. The process went on continuously for a few minutes stabing pulling out my blade until there were none left standing. I stood there the bodies of my friends, family, and ones I did not know ly around me. I was covered in blood from head to toe the knives still clenched in my hands. Blood dripping from all over my body onto the ground or other bodies that lay looking up at the sky. We buried our  people when they died usually but this was a different circumstance. I was alone, funny how our luck went from an all time high to a record low. I stared down looking not at the bodies in on the ground in front of me but at nothing as if drifting off into a slow death. I'm wasn't depressed or sad I was contemplating what to do next. "Well that is just perfect!"I shouted loudly not caring who or what heard it. I was all alone in this burning world but I knew I had to push on, for them and even more so for myself. I wasn't the type that got depressed, I don't get depressed, I get angry. I made a promise to myself that day, I would never let this happen again. I turned around from the area where I had been standing and wiped my blades on a corpses back then putting them back in my belt. I started walking back to where I had stashed my belongings, in a bush near the tree I was happily napping in. I pulled out my extra pair of jeans and a black t-shirt along with an item I took from an army surplus store two weeks ago, my ghili suit. (A full body suit covered in fake grass, used to blend in with) I took off my blood stained clothes and threw them into the woods. Then I put on my ghili suit and pulled the mask and hood up over my face. Then I picked up my belt off the ground with its eight knives still fastened to it I wrapped it around my waist and clipped it in. I started walking back to the camp but as I approached it I heard voices coming from it. I was puzzled, I thought everyone was dead. I crept up on the camp and looked through thr bushes I was camped in to see what looked like military personal. I counted 11 fully armed men all in matching military apparel and a man in slightly differenlty clothes  with a dark green jacket covering him and a matching green beret. I sat there for a bit longer watching them search over the dead bodies and around the camp. I didn't think they were the ones who did this because they were not looting us. They must of heard the screams and came to check it out only finding dead. I decided to come out of my hiding spot but before I could I heard the distinct cock of a gun behind me.
"I wouldn't move if I were you."a   mature older sounding voice said  from behind me.
He pushed the gun against my back and on instinct before he could react I spun up and pressed my knife against his throat. I felt the gun he was holding against my stomache and I'm sure he was aware of the blade at his throat. The man was another soldier but his apparel was slighlty different. Unlike the other men who had clean shaven faces he had a bit of brown stubble on his face. The man unlike the others had no sleeves and wasn't wearing a helmet. He had a headset sticking out of his ear. He was a well built man with the muscles on his arms showing and was about as I can guess five inches taller than me. My other knife was on the side of his gun ready to push it away incase he tried to unload his clip into my body. A few seconds after waiting I heard more gun clicks behind me. I turned my head just enough to see what it was to figure out every soldier in the remains of my camp had their weapons trained on me. I said under my breath,"Shit!"........
