Jason glanced nervously out the car window of his grandfather's car at the school he would be attending starting today. Jason had moved to Beacon Hills three days prior from St. Clair Michigan and was extremely nervous about this new school. Jason was as awkward as one could get. He tended to wear baggy clothes and almost always wore a green and silver beanie that covered almost all of his brown hair. Jason couldn't talk to girls very well, nor could he talk to guys very well thanks to his stutter that he had developed when he was younger and had never grown out of.
If that wasn't bad enough, Jason was more different than he used to be. Now, he was a werewolf."Jay." A voice cut through his thoughts, it was his grandfather.
"Yeah, I'm going." Jason said, stepping out of the car.
"Jay." His grandfather said again and Jason looked at him. The old man smiled warmly. "Have a good day kiddo."
Jason smiled, "Th-thanks grandpa." He said, stuttering slightly. Jason turned away and started walking up the sidewalk to the front doors. Kids all around him looked at him and whispered and Jason desperately wanted to run and hide, but he knew that wasn't an option.
Jason kept his eyes down as he walked and ended up running straight into someone. "S-s-sorry!" Jason stuttered out, looking up at who he had run into. The guy was pretty good looking with tan skin and short hair, but his jaw line was slightly off set.
The guy smiled warmly and Jason got the feeling he was incredibly nice. "Hey, no problem man." The guy said. "My names Scott, you must be new."
"Y-yeah." Jason said. "Nice to m-meet you Scott, I'm J-Jason." He said.
"Cool, nice to meet you. Oh, this is Stiles." Scott said, motioning to another boy who had spikey hair and pale skin.
The other boy, Stiles, smiled. "Nice to meet you dude." He said.
Jason nodded, "I've gotta g-go, see you l-later." He said sheepishly. Jason quickly walked away and made his way to the front office.
"J-Jason Carter." He told the lady and she handed him a folder.
"This has your schedule and a map of the school, a student will be here soon to show you around so you can go ahead and sit down." The woman said.
Jason nodded and sat down in one of the chairs, bouncing his leg, unable to sit still ever. A few minutes later and girl walked in with strawberry blonde hair. She was gorgeous and Jason couldn't seem to take his eyes off her.
"Jason?" The woman at the front desk said, pulling him back to reality. Jason stood up and walked to the desk. "This is Lydia, she's going to show you around."
Jason nodded and looked at the girl. She smiled at him.
"Hi, I'm Lydia." She said. "Welcome to Beacon Hills Jason."
Jason smiled, the way she said his name sounded so nice. He followed Lydia around the school and she explained where everything was.
Jason looked around the hallways, they were quiet now that school had begun. Jason was so lost in thought that he almost missed Lydia's question.
"So where dos you move from Jason?" She asked.
"Michigan." Jason said, trying his best not to stutter by only saying one word.
Lydia nodded and looked like she wanted to know more but didn't press the problem. Lydia led Jason back to the front office so that he could meet the principal.
Jason thanked Lydia and she smiled at him warmly. Jason liked her, she seemed so nice. The meeting with the principal was a little awkward since Jason had to explain what was written in his file.
The file said that Jason was attacked by a wolf and had a mental breakdown resulting from the incident and as such had several medications he had to take over the course of the day.
Jason knew this wasn't the whole truth but it was the one he decided to tell, after all, what would people say if he said he was a werewolf?
Jason followed the principal to his first class, English. He took a deep breath and entered the door.
"Everyone, this is Jason Carter, a new student. I hope you all welcome him warmly." The principal said then left.
Jason looked around the room. He was incredibly relieved to see the guy he had met this morning, Scott, smiling at him. At least there was someone who he at least knew their name.
"Alright, Jason, take that empty seat back there." The teacher pointed to a seat just next to Scott.
Jason nodded and went back to the seat, smiling slightly at Scott and his friend Stiles. Jason looked behind him and there sat Lydia. She smiled at him as well. 'Maybe this won't be so bad.' Jason thought to himself as he pulled out his notebook.
