A sand coloured tom stared at the cats around him. "We need to discuss the prophecy cat." He explained.
A black and white she-cat rolled her eyes. "Of course the prophecy is for thunderclan. No other clan can have special prophecy cats." Although her words and actions were sarcastic, she said it in a friendly tone.
"kitefur, you know as well as I do that thunderclan will need it most. Plus, shadowclan is a stronger clan since hollowstar, and then his mate, ravenstar, became leader." A silver she-cat padded out from behind the sandy tom and stopped next to them. "They don't need a prophecy cat because they're strong enough on their own."
Kitefur sighted happily. "My daughter is doing quite a bit better then I expected. I thought shadowclan would treat her like they did rowanstar by now." The Starclan cats all smiled and chuckled to themselves.
"Well anyway, we need to work out the prophecy cat. It only said a cat with ginger will help thunderclan. I think it's Willowstar." The sandy tom told them. "She has a tiny splotch of ginger above her nose."
"Well, Eaglestar, I think it's your granddaughter, adderpaw." The grey tabby spoke.
"Oh, pineflower's your son too, featherdust." The sandy tom chuckled back.
"What if it's aspenkit?" Kitefur spoke up. "She's almost an apprentice now, and she seems like the best choice so far."
The cats fell silent for a bit, pondering over the idea. After a while, eaglestar stood up, and flicked his tail. "I'll go discuss it with birchfrost. If he speaks."
Featherdust nodded sadly. "He hardly ever speaks now that he has joined us."
Kitefur looked at the silver she-cat. "He was murdered by his brother who lied about his final words so he could be leader." She reminded them. "It would be odd if he wasn't upset." With kitefur's last words, the three of them stalked off. The group around them disbanding, to go and rest or hunt or even play.
