Warriors: silent forest: broken clan

Chapter 7

Aspenpaw looked at adderpaw. "I'm going to thunderclan camp. I'm bringing mudpaw with me. I want to see how bad it is." Adderpaw looked like she was about to hiss in defiance. But she didn't.

"I'm coming with you." She said. "Let's go."

Aspenpaw and mudpaw followed, not nearly as eager as the fire-y she-cat. As dawn broke, the three apprentices streaked through the trees. As they neared camp, they passed many black and charred tree trunks. Eventually they reached the hollow, where their camp once lay. The forest seemed eerily quiet as the looked at the camp, only a broken shell of its former glory.

"It's gonna take a lot of rebuilding." Adderpaw sighed.

As Aspenpaw approached riverclan camp, Multiple thunderclan cats rushed out, not even acknowledging the three apprentices.

"Where are they going?" Aspenpaw asked Lynxshadow, who was standing guard at the elders den.

"There gonna start rebuilding camp." She turned around and explained. "I want to be able to go back to normal as soon as we leave riverclan."

"A true leaders actions." A voice said from behind Lynxshadow. Willowstar stalked out of her den, stopping besides Lynxshadow. "I'll go ask Snakeleap and honeyface to guard for you." Willowstar started turning to go find the two warriors when a brown blur appeared from the den.

"OAKSTAR!" Lynxshadow jumped towards the two leaders.

"Stop!" Aspenpaw yelled.

"Aspenpaw, stay out of this!" Lynxshadow warned. Eventually Lynxshadow managed to drag oakstar away. Multiple riverclan cats rushed to help hold oakstar back.

"This is war, Willowstar" Oakstar hissed. "You are either my ally, or my enemy. If your my ally, we will live equally, as one. If your against me, I will kill you. And I will have thunderclan on my side."

"You have attacked me, multiple times. You don't care about piece. If you want war, fine. We will have war." Willowstar chided back.

"Get off me. I need to make an announcement to both of our clans." Oakstar said calmly. Aspenpaw saw minttail and alderstorm move in front of Willowstar protectively.

"Fine." Willowstar flicked her tail to say; Get off of him.

"Cats of thunderclan and riverclan." Oakstar started.

"WAIT! We need all the cats that left to rebuild camp!" Lynxshadow ran off.

...

"Cats of both clans!" Oakstar started again, once half of the thunderclan camp had returned. "Thunderclan and riverclan are now at war! Your either with me or against me. I fight for piece, and I fight for the dark forest!" There was an audible gasp when Oakstar made his announcement. "All cats with me, return to thunderclan!"

Mooneye and amberfrost walked together. They, along with darkclaw and peardawn where the first to follow. Kestrelfang and Squirrelpaw left with a bit more hesitation. Leafstorm and petalstorm looked at each other defiantly, until leafstorm looked away and ran after oakstar. Maplemoss took one last look at her littermates and stalked away briskly. Lionclaw, deerpaw, scorchpaw and sparrowpaw where the last to leave. Speckletuft and Aspenpaw looked out to amberfrost, baffled that they where splitting apart. Only a small pawfull of riverclan left with the dark tom.

Deep down, Aspenpaw knew that amberfrost would leave with oakstar as soon as e declared war, but she never expected her beloved littermate to fight along side with oakstar. Her attention was snapped back to the real world by Willowstar jumping up the the meeting rock.

"I am glad to see how little of my clan left with oakstar." Willowstar said with a clear superiority. "If oakstar wants war, he will get  war. I want a patrol to go to windclan, skyclan and shadowclan. I, Lynxshadow and mintleaf will lead the patrols. Lynxshadow, take the fastest warriors to shadowclan. Mintleaf, take your patrol to windclan. I will go to skyclan." Willowstar jumped off the meeting rock to start the patrols.

What happens next? Aspenpaw thought to herself. What will the war bring?
