(Y/N) felt someone shaking her shoulder as she stirred awake.
"Hello? Are you okay?"
The voice sounded like it was from a girl and sounded a little timid but was laced with concern as well.
"Ugh..."
(Y/N) sat up while groaning, feeling a sharp tinge of pain throughout her head.
"I found you passed out laying down here. Sorry if I'm bothering you, but are you okay? What happened?"
(Y/N) looked up to see the owner of the voice and saw a young girl about her age. She was wearing a soft-looking bear hoodie, had stars in her hair (like that other guy when (Y/N) thought about it), had dark skin, fluffy loopy hair, but what stood out to (Y/N) the most was her green doll-like eyes.
"Oh, she looks adorable what the heck--" (Y/N) pondered.
"Oh, um... I... hard to believe, but a sword was thrown at my face."
"A sword?! Really?! Who would do such a thing?"
"I don't know, but the guy who threw it would."
"Well, at least your not hurt... much I hope. It hit you in the face right?"
"Yup."
"Oh, well, um, let me do this at least." The girl held out her hands put them on (Y/N)'s forehead and closed her eyes as if to concentrate. A soft, green glow sprouted from her hands. There was peaceful quiet in the air. Sure enough, (Y/N)'s pain had faded away to nothing.
"Wow um... thank you for that! Was that your epithet by any chance?" (Y/N) smiled curiously.
"Oh! Um... yeah it was. It's Dumb." Molly replied.
"No, it's not! It's really cool!" Before (Y/N) could continue Molly had to interrupt her confusion.
"No, I mean, it's actually called Dumb."
"...Oh. I--It's still cool though!" (Y/N) nodded in understanding. Molly's eyes widened a little. A small silence fell over the two girls making things a little bit awkward.
"Uhh... wait, how long was I out?" (Y/N) hesitantly spoke.
"I don't know, but it must be pretty late. I was actually on my way to the receptionist's desk to make a phone call. Do... you want to come with me?"
"Yeah, sure! I don't see why not."
(Y/N) and Molly then started to make their way to the receptionist's desk near the front, but the awkward silence was still hanging in the air. Picking up a bit of courage, (Y/N) tried to start a conversation.
"Soo... my name is (Y/N). What's yours?"
"Oh. Um, it's Molly."
"That's a cute name! Well, it's nice to meet you, Molly! Uh, do you mind if I ask you why you're here too?"
"I'm... uh... I passed out. I suddenly felt really tired for some reason... Well, I DID run the store a few nights before so..." Molly said that last part more to herself than to (Y/N).
"Wait. You, an actual child, run a store? How old are you? I think you're about my age so--"
"I'm twelve."
"...Ah."
"Jeez, where's this girl's parents?" (Y/N) wondered inwardly.
"..."
"..."
"Shoot I just made things more awkward didn't I--" (Y/N) thought, realization hitting her like a truck, like in those isekai stories.
