(Y/N) sighed as she stared at the clock on the wall in her classroom, tapping her finger on the table impatiently. Today was a Friday, and the day that spring break starts. (Y/N) always felt really impatient at times like this, she just couldn't sit still. Her foot under the table was tapping the floor at a slow yet intense pace.
She let out another sigh as she looked down at her math notebook. She finished all the questions on the board, checked to see if she was correct, and she was for a good majority of them. Now she looked back at the clock one more time but it still was the same. It was 3:28. Two more minutes to go.
She shook her head in annoyance. Every second felt like a minute, every minute felt like an hour. To pass the time, she looked at her notebook again and started to count all the questions she had to do. She answered 15 questions in total and she looked at the clock again in hopes of seeing if the minute hand moved.
It didn't.
With a quiet groan, she put her head on the table in disappointment.
"Someone kill me for I don't have the courage to kill myself." She cried internally. She lifted her head from the table and looked around the room. The students seemed as restless as she was, they were all either staring off into space or looking at the clock eagerly. The teacher, Mr. Smith, glanced up from his computer and scanned the classroom. He shook his head as he stood up, catching the class's attention.
"You know what? Since it's spring break today, I'm going to let you all go out early," He said with a smile. The class instantly let out a small cheer and immediately chatter from the students started to emerge. (Y/N) wasted no time. She threw her pencil in her case and tossed it into her bag. She snapped her notebook shut and shoved it in the bag as well. She quickly zipped her bag closed and dashed to the door.
"Bye, Mr. Smith! Have a good holiday!" She called out half-mindedly. She sprinted down the corridor as she made her way to the exit. There weren't many people out of their classrooms just yet, but the people who were just stared confusedly at the girl who was running like Naruto.
"SPRING BREAK, HERE I COME!" (Y/N) shouted as she burst through the doors. She ran towards her usual route home, smiling.
After a minute or so, (Y/N) stopped running to go at a slower pace. She entertained a few thoughts of what she should do in the break.
"Hm... Catch up on Voltron, Dororo, and Haikyuu... Not to mention finally watch season 4 of My Hero Academia, I've been sleeping on that for a month..." She thought to herself while walking.
(A/N: Okay, no, seriously, watch Dororo, it's pretty good)
"(Y/N)?" A voice spoke from somewhere. The girl immediately froze and looked up. "...God, is that you?" The voice let out a chuckle.
(Y/N) nearly jumped two feet in the air when Sylvie came out of nowhere, making him let out a little laugh.
"Sylvie, oh my God." (Y/N) let out a sigh of relief, putting a hand to her chest.
"Sorry about that." Sylvie smiled.
"It's fine."
The two then started to walk down the road together, making conversation as they went along.
"So, what you gonna do in the break Sylvie?" (Y/N) asked curiously.
"Hm, not much. Probably just catch up on some paperwork."
"Paperwork? In a holiday? Sounds rough." (Y/N) grimaced.
"It really is." Sylvie sighed.
Then something up ahead caught their attention. There was a person sitting on a bench who looked the duo's way. But there was something a bit different about them. Their hair was slightly matted but the thing that stood out was their red, almost blood-shot eyes. There were small, yet visible bags under their eyes, showing they weren't sleeping very well. Despite the person's slightly ragged appearance, both Sylvie and (Y/N) seemed to recognize them.
