(Y/N) groaned and rolled over when a blade of sunlight crept through the window, piercing her eyes. She tried to make herself go back to sleep again, but to no avail. There was some sort of new energy keeping her awake. With a sigh, she sat up, blinking heavily as she tried to get used to the light shining in her room.

"I want to sleep off my emotions more... but I should probably get up." She sighed to herself as she rolled off her bed. She checked the time on her phone.

2:18

The phone also showed that there were a few messages from Victor. She put in her password and opened up her messages.

____________

Vicky :D: I'm just checking in! Are you feeling better?

Vicky :D: Don't forget to take plenty of rest and drink lots of water!

Me: Aw, thanks! I'm doing better!

____________

(Y/N) smiled as she put her phone away. Victor was always so thoughtful! Then again, he's always been a bit motherly. She opened the door and walked out of her room to go downstairs. She went into the kitchen to see Bennett... eating Skittles from one of the packets. Bennett grinned smugly as she ate one of the red sweets.

"...Really?" (Y/N) sighed as she pointed at the packet.

"Oh, absolutely," Bennett's grin widened as she popped another small circle in her mouth.

"Bennie, this isn't what we raised you to be!" (Y/N) couldn't help but smile to herself when she saw the grimacing face of her sister. Bennett absolutely loathed that nickname with every inch of her being, so naturally, her older sister always tried to call her that. Although, (Y/N) knew it was very petty to call her sister that over Skittles... but Skittles were Skittles and they were delicious.

"Please don't call me that," Bennett frowned, popping three more Skittles into her mouth.

"Alright, Bennie," (Y/N) chuckled as she opened the fridge to make herself a sandwich. She got some bread and butter.

"Really though, why are you here, Ben? It's a school day," (Y/N) asked as she put some ham and cheese on the bread.

"Take a guess." Bennett smiled.

"You got sick?"

"Yeah. But there's another reason."

"Did you..." (Y/N) paused, feeling an instant hesitance. She always felt uncertain when bringing it up. "...Get... an attack again?" She answered as she spread the butter on her toast.

"Yup," Bennett peered into the packet and sighed when she saw there wasn't anything left. She chucked it into the trash.

"Oh... Are you doing okay?" (Y/N) asked as she sat on the chair right across from her sister.

"Yeah," Bennett said as she cleared her throat. A brief silence fell over them, occasionally though, small talk would be made as (Y/N) ate.

"I'm gonna go out in a second, I have a few plans. Will you be okay?" (Y/N) questioned as she stood up from her chair.

Bennett gasped as she placed a hand over her heart. "You're going out for once, without mom forcing you to?! I'm so proud."

"I know, right?! Progress!" (Y/N) declared with an obvious forced smile.

"But yeah, I'll be fine." Bennett shrugged as she got up from her chair.

"Okay, good. Cause I'm not gonna be back for a while."

Bennett fist-bumped the air. "Yes! House to myself!" She whispered triumphantly.

(Y/N) went back upstairs to get her phone. She plucked it from the charger and looked at the battery. It was at a full 100%, that was good. She took her card deck (which was now organized and rearranged) and she swiped the bright business card Molly gave her off the table before tumbling back downstairs.

"'Kay Ben, I'm going out now! Don't set the house on fire while I'm gone!" (Y/N) called out as she looked back over her shoulder.

"Okay! No promises!" Bennett peered over the railing of the staircase with a grin. (Y/N) waved as she closed the door. There was a pause.

"...I said I had plans, but I have no idea what to do." (Y/N) said to herself as she made her way down the pavement, walking through the cluster of houses.

"Actually no, I do know, but..." (Y/N) trailed off as she pondered her plan. Should she visit tomorrow instead, or...?

"Eh, no, I'm already outside. Besides, I don't think he'll mind." (Y/N) shook her head as she quickened her pace, all the while taking in the peaceful silence of the neighborhood.
