Lucas had been slightly distracted the rest of the day. He couldn't stop thinking about Evie. She was certainly beautiful, given she was the daughter of the Evil Queen. He also wondered if she was actually interested in him in any way, since she gave him those looks. Although, he also assumed that was also just who she was, and it probably meant nothing.

He then saw Evie the next day in Chemistry. She sat next to him at their lab table, across from Chad and Doug. Speaking of Chad, Evie spent most of the class staring at him.

"Any chance he's in line for a throne?" She asked Lucas, "Anywhere in line?"

"Chad. Prince Charming Jr. Cindrella's son?" Lucas says. Evie then gave him a surprised look, and he continued. "Chad inherited the charm, but not a lot of there, there."

"Looks like there, there to me." She replies dreamily.

It was at that moment when their instructor, Mr. Deley, caught her daydreaming and asked her a question, which she answered with ease. Lucas was quite surprised at how smart she was, not fully aware that she used her mirror to cheat. Chad then handed Evie a note asking to meet him under the bleachers later that day, a note Lucas couldn't help but get a glance at.

Lucas then saw Evie with Chad where they planned to be, and while he knew it was wrong to eavesdrop, he couldn't help himself. He snuck up on top of the seats and was only able to hear the last few parts of their conversation.

"Hey, I heard that Fairy Godmother's wand is in some boring museum. Do they always leave it there?" Evie asked.

"I'd really love to talk, but... I'm just swamped." Chad replied. "Unless..."

"Unless...?" Evie asked.

"If you could knock out all my homework along with yours, then maybe we could get together sometime, hang." Chad says.

Lucas couldn't help but roll his eyes at that. He knew that Chad was always a bit of a jerk, and could clearly see he was trying to use Evie. When he saw Chad leave, he stepped in. jumping down to Evie. "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear..." He starts.

"Are you stalking me?" Evie asked.

"Not intentionally." Lucas replied nervously. "It's just- I also have an interest in Fairy Godmother's wand. I guess you could say it's something to look forward to at Ben's coronation. Maybe we could talk about it sometime."

"Are you saying they use it in the coronation?" Evie asked.

"Y-Yes." Lucas responded. "And seeing if you want to hang out?"

Evie gave him a smile and a small laugh before leaving, while Lucas watched.

'What is it about her?' He thought to himself. 'Why can't I stop thinking about her? She probably wouldn't even look my way unless she needed something from me.'

He decided to find Doug and talk to him about it.

"Wait, are you saying you think you might have a crush on Evie?" Doug asked.

"Maybe? I don't know." Lucas replied, "I mean she's smart, she's pretty, and she's probably way too good for me. In the sense that I doubt she would normally look my way twice."

"Well, she is a villain kid."

"Thanks, Doug." Lucas said sarcastically.

"Why don't you try talking to her?"

"I did, she brushed me off."

"Keep trying. Besides, I hear she might be at the Tourney game."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"I'll try and talk with her there."
