Time has a history of killing,
But, my gift keeps me alive.
I am part of the undead,
Blood helps me to survive.
I walk day after day,
Being undead is a pleasant gift.
But, as much as I love being immortal,
The moment I met her my mind began to shift.
Time plagued me worse than any human,
It didn't take my life away.
It was a killer of my love,
And it had me cursed in dismay.
Time has a habit of killing,
But, for me it did much more.
Immortality was no longer my gift,
I lost everything I love about her.
Time destroyed my entire existence,
Being undead no longer suited me.
I live day after day losing people,
Time brought me love then pained me.
