Archaic Adventures (Discovering ancient tombs)

I traversed the sands of the desert for miles and miles.

Doing my best to cure my misery that's haunting my mind.

I am a man on a mission, being defeated isn't an option.

My family's memories plagued me, I'll always remember their smiles.

I can't let this break me down, I know I have happiness that I must find.

I entered a pyramid, ignoring every sign that said "caution."

What is there to lose?...

Nothing...

Who do I have left?...

No one...

Alone with my thoughts...

Non sense...

Ignoring voices with...

No conscience...

Let's discover something new...

Fuck it...

All this pain toying my mind...

I'll chuck it...

Let's discover these ancient tombs...

Through darkness...

Constant nightmares, needing avoided...

Let's do this...

I wandered the pitch black hallways with a simple camping flashlight.

Painted on the walls were many different hieroglyphs.

I couldn't wait to run a crossed a tomb that remained undiscovered

Among the glyphs one stood out with a green tint that glowed bright.

I touched it with my hand, and a doorway opened to an ancient Egyptian crypt.

Stepped in the room and it was like a trove of unknown technology no one discovered.

What have I discovered?...

The unknown...

How much knowledge could be hidden within?...

An infinite...

Who does this tomb belong too?...

The celestial...

So much knowledge hidden in one tomb....

Unimaginable...

Wiring on the walls stuck out to me...

A prophecy?..

It read "The ancient ones grant a gift to worthy follower"...

Am I worthy?...

I yelled and questioned the inscription...

"Who is worthy?..."

The glyphs seemed to glow making me stumble back...

  What is happening?...

I stumbled back and an ancient urn went crashing to the ground.

Blue rays of light spiraled out flying fast in my direction.

It struck me quickly it felt like a bolt of lightning.

Unconscious I fell, what mysterious and ancient power have I  found?

What did I do? Was I the ancient one's worthy selection?

Questions fluttered my mind... This felt quite enlightening.
