In my brain there is a dam
Filled with raging waters
The waters symbolize my emotions,
The dam my composureSometimes the dam will become too full,
It will come tumbling down
Till there's nothing left but tiny rocks,
Till there's nothing left but dustThe raging waters will roar,
They will course through those tumbling walls
Breaking my composure,
Breaking my happinessWhen it's all gone the dam will be rebuilt
It will be empty at first
And then it will slowly fill,
Repeating the process once again-May 2019
