Tak sighed, stepping into the small apartment that served as her temporary base. She made her way through the dimly lit room to sink into the sad armchair that solely occupied the living room area. She placed her forehead in her hands, shutting her eyes for a moment. Her head ached, no doubt from the same injury that had caused the scar over her eye.

She took another deep breath, this one shaky. Holding her breath, Tak could feel her emotions moving deep inside her, she held on as tight as could to emotionless stability. But, finally, she gave up and let the tears begin to escape down her face.

Once they started, she couldn't stop them. The knowledge that such extreme emotions were unnatural for an Irken only made the titular emotion harder to control. She left herself like that for a while, secreting hormones that should not be in her alien chemical makeup through her eyes. Glad only she was there to witness herself break down, she curled into a fetal position in the chair, trying to self sooth.

After her sobs finally subsided, Tak dragged herself from the chair. As she made her way to look in the bathroom mirror, her legs felt weak and they shook slightly. Her reflection came into view, showing her long scar over her milky purple eye. She examined herself for remnants of her passionate fit. All that was left was a faint bright green glow in her cheeks. She took a deep breath, hoping to slow her heartbeat and keep her cheeks from giving away her defects.

"I-I'm not- I'm not a Defective..." she tried to convince her reflection. "I'm a strong, proud Irken invader. It's Zim's fault that my PAK says otherwise."

Tak felt the familiar warmth of anger rise from her feet to her antenna. "Zim." Her voice growled with malice, and she was finally focused again. Revenge was what now filled her thoughts. She dashed to the tiny bedroom, swiping everything off her desk.

Precious pieces Irken tech fell to the floor, but that did not bother her now. She set materials gently across her desk. What was left of Mimi, and now joining the bunch, a few small components that she stole form G.I.R. not long ago. Quickly, she slide welding goggles over her eyes, getting to work.
