Dib huffed out an angry breath of air. It turned to vapor and caught in the crisp early winter breeze, and was quickly whisked away. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his black jacket to keep the chill from numbing his fingers. He reached his destination at Zim's door and knocked on it as loudly as he could. No one answered, not even G.I.R. Dib yelled at the door. "Zim? Your robot took my toaster, I need it ba-" He was interrupted by the door suddenly opening. To his surprise, Dib did not see Zim there. His gaze slowly moved downward, furthering his surprise as they landed on Mimi.
Mimi cocked her head to the side "Mew?"
"Uuuhm, hi?" Dib's large head filled with confusion. Why was Mimi here? Was Tak here somewhere too? Could Zim be in trouble? He took a careful step forward and was met with an annoyed growl from the tiny robot. He stepped back, obeying her warning. "I-I just need the toaster back from G.I.R."
Mimi flicked her tail. ".. - .----. ... / -. --- - / .-- --- .-. - .... / - .... . / - .-. --- ..- -... .-.. . / --- ..-. / - .- -.- .. -. --. / .- .-- .- -.-- / - .... . / - --- .- ... - . .-. / ..-. .-. --- -- / - .... . / -.. . .-. .- -. --. . -.. / ... .-.-.- .. .-.-.- .-. .-.-.- / --. --- / .- .-- .- -.-- --..-- / .... ..- -- .- -. .-.-.-"
Dib blinked, "I... was that morse code?" Dib did know some morse code, but he was not fast enough at decoding it to understand more than just the words 'go away.' That was probably the most important part of the sentence. He took another step back, but he was not going to leave that easily. "Where's Zim?"
Mimi shook her head, ".. / ... .- .. -.. / --. --- / .- .-- .- -.-- -.-.--" She closed the door. Dib was not going to give up that easily; he banged on the door again. "I need that toaster back! Come on!"
"No one cares about your damn toaster!" Tak's voice rang out, piercing its way through the door.
"My dad cares about the toaster!"
"Aww is someone in trouble?" Tak mocked.
"pch- no!" Dib lied, not wanting to give her the satisfaction of being right.
"Then go away!"
"I'll just find another way in!"
Tak rolled her eyes and turned away from the door, she had more important things to worry about than Dib's stupid toaster. Mimi weaved her way between her legs. "Come on Mimi. Back to the mission."
"-.-- . ... / -- .- .----. .- -- -.-.--"
Tak smiled, and headed down to the lab, where Zim and G.I.R. were.
"Ready to go?" Zim asked.
"I'm driving." Tak was doing her best to ignore Zim, keeping her eyes off of him and getting into the Voot Cruiser's diver's seat. Zim got in, followed by G.I.R. and the toaster. Mimi growled when G.I.R. got too close.
"Let's go!!" shouted G.I.R.
