Dillon was running down the hall with his best friend, gripping onto his friends wrist as their school was on lockdown, heavy paintings were heard from their crying lungs as tears welled up in Dillons eyes. He soon shoved his friend into an empty classroom, locking the door as the two then ran to hide behind the science teachers desk, or at least they assumed to be the teacher's desk.

"Where the hell did those two kids go?!" A deep voice was stopped in front of the classroom, Dillon hugging his friend close to his chest as his friend sobbed, him rubbing his back softly while shaking himself.

"Who cares?! Find others before we get busted!" A much lighter yet angered voice could be heard yelling at the other voice until heavy footsteps could be heard fading down the halls.

After what seemed like hours, all that could be heard was the faint sounds of bullets being fired as faint screams of other students were rather screaming louder or fell dead silent.

Dillon quickly took the chance and pulled out his phone, dialing one of his others phone numbers and putting the phone against his ear. The call was soon picked up, the sound of police sirens could be heard from her car.

"Sweetie?! Are you okay?! I'll be right there, I'm only a block away, hang on." Elizabeths, one of Dillon's mothers, voice was shaky yet stern as a hint of worry could be heard from Dillons phone. "I'm fine Ma, but I'm with my friend here. We are in an empty science classroom, We can hear them, please hurry-"

But before anything else was said, The phone line went dead. Dillon slowly pulled his phone away from his ear as his eyes were wide. His friend cried as he hugged Dillon tightly, Loud banging could be heard hitting the very classroom door they were in.

-
Elizabeth ran in to the school building with her handgun as her German shepherd, Bullet, followed behind her. She began to search in every classroom, as other officers were escorting teachers and students out of the building and to safety to treat any wounds. Elizabeth kept her guard up until she pulled out Dillons scarf, kneeling over to Bullet. "Come on girl, Go find him, We need our baby alive." Elizabeth said as Bullet sniffled the scarf then Bullet started to sniff around until she barked, running in a certain direction. "Good girl! Follow his scent!" Elizabeth ran after Bullet as she shoved the scarf to her pocket.

Elizabeth soon froze as she saw a large teenager kick down a classroom door. "Freeze!" She shouted as the teenager dropped his machine gun and held his hands up.

"Wait please! I didn't plan this at all! I'm innocent!" The teen cried out. "Then who else is in this?! You are in huge trouble!" Elizabeth growled until her eyes slightly widened, a bullet could be heard dropped behind her.

" I am. "
-

Her eyes widen as she raised her handgun to point at the armed girl student behind her. She then fell to her knees as a gun bullet was fired and thrusted through Elizabeth's shoulder blade, causing her to cry in pain while gripping onto her wound tightly.

Her German shepherd viciously barked then tackled the girl student, having her scream as Bullet bit down her forearm. The other teenager panicked as he ran out down the halls as fast as he could.

Dillon had tears rolling down his cheeks as he had heard his mothers cries with the gunshot echoed internally in his head, causing him to snap of his trans and let go of his friend, running out of the classroom for his mom.

"DILLON!" His friend called out as they hesitantly ran after him, leaving the classroom as well.

Dillon saw Elizabeth, who was now against a locket with her left shoulder drenched in crimson fresh blood, the blood pooling under her as she winced. Dillon ran over to his mother as his body shook violently, sobbing profusely as he saw how pale his mother was beginning to get.

"Dillon . . !" His mother was strong yet weak by the pain inflicted on her, seeing her little boy crying in fear. Dillon lowered his head as tears fell to the ground below him. "M-Mommy. . Please don't die. I don't want you to die. . !!" Dillon fell onto his knees as he was now next to his mother, who pulled him to a tight hug but with her non-injured arm. He was shocked but hugged back as he sobbed to her shoulder.

"It's okay baby, I won't go anywhere. . . I promise."

---

Dillon, Now years older, was looking down at his 72 year old mothers grave, cravings of her full name.

" Elizabeth Raina Hunter
1989-20##
A loving mother, wife, family and friend.
A hero at heart."

A lit cigarette was between Dillons lips as small bits of smoke was escaping with his slow breaths.

"I miss you Mom. You gave me reasons to live through the stupid awful days of that school, even survived when you got shot, stabbed, electrocuted, and more. . . So why? Why did you break your promise??? You promised you wouldn't let anything kill you but age. . !! You let that bastard take your life just for a couple of spider kids who can't grow up!!!!!" Dillon shouted tears ran down his cheeks profusely as he took a deep sigh and fletch the cigarette to the side, blowing out the remaining free smoke that didn't stain his lungs yet. He clenched his fist.

"I'll make that woman pay for what did to our family, I promise."
