"This plan isn't ready! There are still tests to proceed with, and w-with the bugs and that lost copy I-" The women was silence by another large figure walking pass. "Lets just get another tester then", the shadow exclaimed. The programmer walked over to her unfinished project, large screens full of data and charts coiled the area. "Sir, we already have six testers! Those are our staffs children as well, we can't just pretend like everything fine! They'll have questions." Behind her layed a variety of teens with wires entering and exiting them and entering a white static screen. On there heads a VR headset, just like there skin...wired. Gaping mouths and slight twitching of there bodys. "We have to stop...please."
"We have to make sure that thing stays inside the system Elaine. Its for the greater good." Elaine swallowed her pride and continued to go at work. "The greater good" she mutters.

"Lets go Meggy! There going to be out of all the cool stuff if you keep this up!" Megan or 'Meggy' by close friends is nothing different from your average girl. Brown hair, green eyes, decent grades and parents with an ungodly amount of money. Megan found her comfort in video games, sence her family never is around that much. She rushes to her friend, running ever so slowly compared to her more athletic friend Orrin.
Unlike Megan who's is predictable and steady, Orrin is the complete opposite. Constantly finding a way to hurt himself even in the most docile of tasks. He always has his head in the clouds and making dark jokes that sometimes worry Megan. White hair that turns into a light pink, and small white freckles spread across his face. His right eye is a dark pink and the other a lighter shade with bits of white speckled throughout. Both teens are completely different in visually and mentally, but have been together ever sence elementary school.
"How about YOU stop running! No one is going to be there anyway!" Ignoring his friends plea, Orrin runs faster then stops a few blocks down near a run down video store. "Yes! They didn't demolish it yet," the pink-ette announced. His far slower company follows behind, catching her breath. In between breaths, barely creating a sentence "I-I guess you were right buddy." Megan gazed the small store, 'LAST DAY SALE' crossed the windows of the building with a multitude of colors to catch pedestrians eyes and hopefully buy something. During its early years ''Plasma Video'' was the towns main source of media entertainment. From games to movies Plasma Video had it all. When the teens were younger, their parents brought them to the establishment just to rent out their favorite movies. Orrin would always find a way to get candy rather than an actual movie, Megan liked horror thriller type movies. Orrin never completely understood her strange obsession with them but still slightly enjoyed watching them with her (though she would scare him when the film was over). Its become a sort of historic sight to the young duo, sadly Plasma Video goes under.Dirt and dust cake each window, causing them to look just brown. The once white paint that dressed the building is peeling, and in the corners cobwebs,dirt and strange insects.
Megan walked back to the front of the building to meet her overly excited friend. "Well come on! Lets gooo!" Orrin happily skipped through the automatic doors, the female sighed and walked through the sliding doors.
A few people where present in the store, grabbing now vintage cassettes, movies and any last shipment of sugary sweets. Both teens gased at the empty room and sighed. "Too bad this place is going under, such great memories," the taller male spoke. Megan gave a slight nod to Orrin, she still can't believe this is actually happening her self. The one place she got to see both of het parents smiling, laughing and actually enjoying themselves. She let out a heavy sigh and realized she was standing alone.
"Orrin? Where are you?" Megan continued glancing around the establishment only to find a familiar face standing near an also familiar object...a video shelf.
"Isn't that the shelf you hurt your self on?"
"Yup, left a pretty bad mark to huh?" He rubbed his right eye, the shelf did a good number on it too.
"Imma buy it...yes.."
Megan gave her friend a puzzling glare. She pulls Orrin from the video shelf, "Your not buying a shelf! Lets get something and go, i got some work to do!" Orrin groaned at his friends nagging and shuffled his feet across the carpet.

(Just thought this was funny lmao)Running her fingers through the variety of old computer games, Megan experienced a surge of nostalgia. One catches her eye, a solid black case with green writing. The etchings spell 'Project A', the young girl picks up the strange case. "Never herd of this before, might be able to still play it!", Megan grabs the strange case and finds her friend who is currently eating the last bunch of Plasma Video pretzels, and a drink with a straw that forms into glasses.
"Wow, you still eat those things! They're gross, you know that they just re-heat those..."
"Pffft, when did I care? They still slap dude!"
"Whatever, did you get what you wanted?"
Orrin raised his hand revealing a black bag with a sorts of points edging out. Megan nodded and when to check out her item.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Megan's house is way Orrin emptied his bag on Megan's carpet, inside having a hand full of movies they enjoyed throughout their youth. "Look I even got your favorite! 'Attack Of The Giga Caterpillars!', god I hate this movie." Megan on her bed laughed at her friends memory. It was late at night and both kids were up past their bedtimes, the brunette convenience her friend to watch the film. Afterwards Orrin never looked at a caterpillar the same again, from then on Megan dressed as a butterfly and scared Orrin at every chance she got.
"You were terrified of caterpillars for months! The movie wasn't even that scary." Megan boasted.
"Wow that is so funny. Look im actually crying right now, ha ha haa..." Orrin groaned and looked at the girls bag, "what did you get, some cassette or somethin?" Megan takes out the black case with green etchings. She opens the case, showing the disk, "just some old disk game, looked cool."
"Oh its a game I thought you just gor por-"
Megan threw a small object at the boys head "If you finish that sentence, I will disown you as a friend..."
"I was kidding! So what is your totally legit game about eh?"
