Jace Day#19

Ace steered the horse towards the parking lot.

Him and Janae were left at the ugly sweater festival to get the car... so riding on a black horse, the two of them rode to the parking lot.

"Ace... Janae tapped his shoulder from where she sat behind him.

"The animals are eating the ginger bread house... and the petting zoo owner is NOT happy."

"So?"

"Ride faster he's got a pitch fork-" Ace spun his head towards Janae and looked over her shoulder.

There was an angry old man riding one of the petting zoo horses behind them.

"FUCK,. We're almost there..." ace pulled the horse to a abrupt stop in front of the van and lept off.

"JANAE THE KEYS!!" She fumbled for them in her pocket, and by the time the creepy man reached the car, Ace swung into the drivers seat and started driving.

"WAIT ACE!" The creep and Janae both stood in front of the car, Janae tried reached her door but the pitch form blocked her path.

"ONE SEC.." anddddd ace drove forward hitting the creepy with the car. He fell over long enough for Janae To fumble into the car and shut the door.

Ace reversed away from the man-

And went forward again, Hitting him with the car.

He then swerved and drove onto the side road.

"And that's how you make a clean getaway.."

".....you could've killed him..." Janae muttered

"But I didn't!" Ace looked back and pointed to the man. Who was groaning and holding his back.

Janae sighed and looked back to the road.

"SQUIRREL" janae screamed and grabbed the wheel from Ace and swerved the van.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!" Ace slapped janaes hand away and regained control of the wheel- but it was too late.

They crashed the car into some other poor car.

"AHH!" Janae screamed and got hit in the face with an airbag, Ace jamming a dagger into it before it hits him, he popped it.

"Janae. REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME YOU SWERVED THE CAR  DUE TO A SQUIRREL???"

"Um...-"

"YOU RAN OVER THE CHRISTMAS TREE I WORKED HARD ON. but it's fine despite the fact that you almost got us both killed right now, it was pretty fun." Janae blinked and shoved open the crashed door.

"Well...that was a one time thing." She muttered while getting out of the van

"Yeah and sooner or later your really gonna kill me!" Ace yelled at her

"Andy's gonna kill us when he finds out about this..." Janae said while looking at the car

"Oh well" Ace shrugged it off, "How bad can the old man's punishment be?"

"That's fair.." Janae circled the vehicle until she came across the car they collided with.

There was a very very angry blonde lady seated in the drivers seat, her car door was smashed and she was bleeding a bit from the forehead.

Without thinking janae helped open the door, freeing the lady- and she got slapped.

"CANT YOU WATCH WHERE YOUR DRIVEING?? I WAS ON AN ENTIRE DIFFERENT LANE...." she went on and on, finally pulled an umbrella from under the seat, she hopped out of the car and advanced on ace.

"IT WASNT ME. IT WAS HER, JANAE DID IT."

"WHAT!? I wasn't driving! He was."

"OK THATS TRUE BUT YOU GRABBED THE WHEEL- OWWW." The lady brought the umbrella down on aces head, before kicking him in the forbidden area.

Satisfied, the lady hopped back in the car and scrabbled for her phone forgetting about ace and Janae.

"....ace?" She peered over Ace and slightly kicked him.

"I. Hate. Driving. And I'm never doing it again." He stood up and began walking towards hq.

"Janae give me your tper."

"Oh... the pig ate it."

"...your telling me we have to WALK back?" She nodded.

The two of them began slowly walking back to hq...

Along the way, they kept talking about the many things that could possibly get Andy mad enough to jump off the roof.

And about over half way, they came to a bridge crossing over a small shallow river with crystal clear water.

Without hesitation ace shoved Janae over the bridge, and into the water.

"AAHH!" Janae screamed and went under. Ace laughed and waited for her to come back to the surface.

"Janae...?" A long moment passed and she still didn't come up. "Oh shit.. Andy's gonna kill me."
Ace frowned and with a long sigh he dived under to get janae.

When he broke through the surface, he saw Janae a distance under. She was weakly struggling to reach the top, obviously running low on air. Her left foot was tangled in the wild rice growing wildly from the bottom of the river, pulling her down.

Ace reached in his pocket and pulled out a pen, clicking it- it extended into his scythe.
After a moment of swimming down to the rice, he swung the blade into the rice and cut Janae free. He shrunk his weapon back to a pen and grabbed a half conscious Janae, pulling her to the surface.

He dragged her onto a rocky platform swearing and muttered, "Janae if your still alive imma kill you."

He dropped down to janaes level and...

Slapped her.

"Wake up wake up wake up." He slapped her 4 more times before Janae woke up coughing.

"Ahhhh whyyyyy."

"Because saving you got me soaking wet." He slapped her one more time before sitting back.

"Well I wouldn't have needed a save if you hadn't pushed me INTO THE WATER." She coughed again before sitting up beside ace.

He shook his head.

"Let's just head back... and can we not tell Andy about this?"

Janae nodded. "Let's not mention the car either.." ace agreed.

Dripping wet, the two of them trudged through the trees back up to the bridge, getting covered in dirt in the process. When Janae froze.

"Ace... why can't you just teleport us back?"

"..." Ace slumped to the ground.

"Janae you couldn't have said that EARLIER??"

"Well you should've already done it. They're  your powers." He frowned and grabbed janaes arm, tping them both outside Hq.

"Remember... don't tell Andy about any of this."

Janae nodded and shoved open the hq door.
