Saffron enjoyed herself immensely for the rest of the night. She danced with Dean for the remainder and only stopped ten minutes before the Weird Sisters were due to finish, at Dean's bequest. He pulled her over to the table that Harry, Ron and Padma had been sat at earlier and they sat down to speak. The crowds had died down and the music was slow now, meaning they were able to hear each other very clearly and could speak normally.

"Oh, is this the reveal?" Saffron asked Dean with a small laugh, looking over his shoulder to see which pairs remained. Neville and Ginny were still going strong, as were Lavender and Rowan. Not too far away from there was Olly and Emilia. Most of the older couples had left to go to more private places and Saffron noticed that Parvati was included in that group, as she was nowhere to be seen. "I forgot to ask you at the next hour, so it's between Isobel and Sue? If I was to guess I'd---"

"It's not between Isobel and Sue," said Dean, cutting her off in a small voice.

"---probably say Sue--- wait what?" Saffron narrowed her eyes at him when she heard what Dean said. "I thought that you said it was our year, Ravenclaw, not Padma, Lisa or Brynn which only leaves Isobel and Sue... unless I'm missing someone, but I thought there were only five of them?"

Dean let out a sigh with his eyes closed and Saffron shut her mouth sensing that she had probably misspoken. She just looked at him and tried to convey that she was giving him the chance to speak without interruption and he did so.

"It's a lot more complicated than that," Dean told her slowly, staring out at the dance floor. "I--- I said that it was a Ravenclaw in our year, but... but I never said it was a girl,"

Saffron tried her best to not show the surprise on her face at what she was hearing. But she wasn't doing a good job at it which amused Dean, as a smile cracked onto his face.

t wasn't that it was the biggest shock in the world, not at all, it was just that Saffron wasn't the type of person to even think about someone's sexuality. It was a non-issue for her and not something she cared about, truth be told. She didn't see it as any different to the colour of ones' skin or the status of one's blood, it was merely an aspect of who someone was, not their defining characteristic. More importantly, it contributed to who they were and Dean was a wonderful person. That was all that mattered to her but she understood that it might be more than that to Dean so, again, she kept quiet to let him talk.

"Before you freak out, don't worry, it's not Olly, just to get that out of the way," Dean assured her, making Saffron chuckle slightly in response. "Basically, I like both, guys and girls. It was confusing at first, I didn't know if I was one way or the other because people always say that it's either-or. But I know me and I know that could be with either, it's really who someone is inside that matters to me most of all,"

"My person is Terry Boot. We were seeing each other for a while last year, in secret. I'm not sure he's told anyone about it and the only person I've told is my sister Jess, and now you, I suppose. I haven't been sure how to tell anyone or why I even should have to because I don't see it as a big deal. Once I knew what I felt, it didn't matter to me that much anymore but what other people thought did matter. I wanted to tell Seamus, but I-- I don't know if he would accept it, because he's so different to me and I know his mum isn't exactly accepting. She always talks badly about his cousin Aoife who's also ... gay,"
