Hagrid had seemingly vanished off the face of the grounds of Hogwarts and though Saffron felt bad about it all, she had way too much on her mind to worry too much about it. On top of her priority list happened to be selling what she and Dean were portraying to everyone. By the looks of it, people had bought what they sold, most notably of all, Saffron's own siblings.
"Wow, Saffron's got a boyfriend," Rachel sung teasingly as she, Rowan and Saffron (Maya was working on cracking the clue to the second task, something neither she nor Harry had been successful at yet) ate breakfast together one morning.
"Not a boyfriend," said Saffron pointedly. Initially, that was what she thought they were going for but Dean decided it would be easier to just say they were 'seeing each other' as it would make their eventual 'break-up' a lot less severe. "We're not that serious, we're just seeing how it goes,"
"I could tell at the Ball that there was something going on with the two of you," Rowan informed Saffron matter-of-factly, taking a slurp of pumpkin juice. "It was obvious,"
"Funny, because it wasn't until after the Ball that we..." said Saffron thoughtfully, stopping in her tracks as she didn't want to discuss the more intimate details with her younger siblings, even if there wasn't a huge age gap between them.
Rowan merely shrugged his shoulders. "Then I guess the two of you have a good connection,"
"I guess so," said Saffron, nodding her head in agreement and truthfully agreeing with him, as she and Dean were getting on wonderfully. They spent more time together in the weeks that followed than they spent in over three years of being in classes together. It had gotten to the extent that she had agreed to go to Hogsmeade with him over Hermione.
Neither of them wanted to go to Madame Puttifoots- a spot that Lavender and Parvati suggested its reputation for making out as the reason, and was where Parvati and Tait, the boy from Beauxbatons, were headed. It was for that very reason that Saffron and Dean opted to go to the Three Broomsticks instead, which was much more chilled and casual, with no pressure to start making out. Saffron and Dean had kissed a few times since their initial kiss at the Ball but every one of them was premeditated and done in order to be seen by certain people, in particular, them being Olly and Terry.
"It's crazy that we're almost at the end of our agreement," Dean said to Saffron when the pair of them were seated cosily in the Three Broomsticks. "It doesn't feel like it's almost been a month,"
"Not at all," Saffron nodded her head in agreement. "I've honestly been having a lot of fun, so if you're up for extending it..?"
"I was hoping you'd say that," Dean grinned happily. "What do you reckon, add another month onto it? Until the end of February? Or would you rather go to just before Valentines Day in case something comes up,"
"I think for your sake Valentines Day," muttered Saffron in response. "Maybe Terry will have come around by then and I don't want you to feel tied to me, not ever,"
"I like feeling tied to you though," Dean informed her with a small laugh. "It's helping me a lot more than it's probably helping you,"
"Oh, it's helping me way more than you know, honest," stated Saffron matter-of-factly. "This year has been a lot, first the Peter Pettigrew trial, then Maya and Harry in this tournament and then the whole Olly thing... having this is like an escape from all of that,"
"Obviously less crazy things have happened to me, but I feel the exact same," said Dean with a playful laugh which made Saffron smile. However, the smile was wiped clean off her face when she heard a very familiar voice purposefully being louder than all of the others in the pub.
