Her eyes darted around as Eleanor and (Y/N) walked to the makeshift jail cell where they held two prisoners."So what did they do?" (Y/N) asked, her wavy bob cut bouncing with every step she took.
"The kid shot someone, the guy was an accessory to it. Apparently he got hurt; gotta teach you how to fix up small wounds anyways." Eleanor stated, groaning slightly. "I hope they aren't too much trouble."
"Well, thanks for teaching me. I definitely need it." she pulled the shoulder of her shirt down to reveal her right shoulder blade; which had an awful set of stitches in it. "I know I'll never be a doctor, but it's helpful to know how to fix small wounds. I'm glad I found you before my arm got infected or something."
"I'm glad too, (Y/N). I was an EMT back before this all started, saving lives was my passion. I'm glad I can pass that passion over to someone else; even if you'd only be giving stitches and disinfecting."
The two girls continued to walk the small strip until they reached the jail cell. (Y/N) looked around the cell; she noticed the girl first. She couldn't have been any older than 13; she was laying on the ground, facing away from everyone. Then she laid her eyes on the man whom had blood streaming down the side of his face. (Y/N) admitted to herself he was attractive; but she wanted to be professional.
"Hey, I'm Eleanor. This is (Y/N)." Eleanor shifted herself and glanced at (Y/N), who quickly shot up a hand and waved.
"I'm Javier. But my friends call me Javi." he flashed a charming smile and (Y/N) felt a jump in her stomach.
"We're gonna fix you up, alright? Gotta teach this young lady how to properly treat a wound. You should see her shoulder blade."
"Alright, let's see it then." the man stood up; his body towered over hers even through a gate.
(Y/N) gulped and pulled at the neck of her shirt, allowing it to slip over her shoulder with ease. "Did it myself in a broken mirror with fishing line and a stick. I had to shave the stick down with my blade so it could puncture my skin."
"How'd you get it? The wound, I mean." he asked, pressing his body up against the gate. He was quite intimidating, but also had this secure aura surrounding him.
"Oh, it's just a stab wound. I was in a bad situation a few weeks ago, it went south when I tried to escape."
"That wouldn't have happened if you were with me and my family."
"What?" she pulled her shirt back up and cleared her throat. "Anyways," (Y/N) nudged Eleanor awkwardly.
"Right! Okay, let's get you fixed up. Watch closely, (Y/N)." Eleanor turned back around and opened the gate, letting herself and her companion in. (Y/N) stared as she swiftly began to disinfect the cut under his brow bone, quickly discarding the bloodied rag.
"You make this look easy, El." (Y/N) complimented, staring at the wound on Javier's face.
"Small wounds like this are easy, your shoulder would have been more complex."
"Hey," she shrugged. "I'd say it was pretty easy."
"Don't get cocky, I know for a fact you cried your heart out." Eleanor smirked; placing two small butterfly bandages on his wound. "You should be good to go. (Y/N) all you have to do for a small wound like this is to disinfect it and then use butterfly bandages and push the wound together, got that?"
