[based on the song "Yellow Motif" by Hey Fever]

The day was coming to a close, the sun began to set along the horizon of the last visible strip of land that was covered by the sun.

Javier and his group sat at the campfire he had set up. The wood crackled as it burned, reminding Javier of happier times. The bright flames of the fire burned as the crackles of the wood mixed with the soft strumming coming from Javier's guitar. His soft singing almost caused everyone to fall into a comatose-like state, it was so soft and calm.

Unfortunately, they all knew this moment wouldn't last forever. The second that the sun would rise, it was back to the fight. But there was nothing wrong with staying in this moment, at least for now.

She stared up above her, watching the smoke from the fire blend with the sky, which was speckled with beautiful stars. (Y/N) closed her eyes, listening to Javier's soft, raspy voice fill her ears.

"A little while longer, a little while longer..." Javier sang, causing almost everyone to yawn, his voice was sweet and serene, very much able to put someone to sleep.

"What song are you singing?" (Y/N) asked as she opened her eyes and felt the ashes from the fire fall on her skin.

"Yellow motif," Javier answered, placing his hand on the strings to abruptly stop the calm tune he was playing. "I wrote it myself."

"It's beautiful, Javi."

Javier smiled at the girl's compliment and looked around, Kate and the kids were fast asleep. He chuckled to himself and then looked at (Y/N), her face barely visible through the flames. "How about you and I go somewhere alone? I don't want to wake them up."

(Y/N) nodded and stood up, walking away from the campfire with Javier, grabbing onto his arm for stabilization.

Javier guided (Y/N) to a long bumpy log decorated with moss by a lake, the moon cast a long white wavy strip on the surface of the glittering water. (Y/N) and Javi sat down, setting the worn-out acoustic guitar on his thigh. The orange finish on the guitar seemed faded, the finish was chipped off in various locations on the base of the guitar. The neck looked rough as if it had been played many times throughout the years, there were many slivers of the wood shredded out throughout the entire guitar.

Javier put his fingers in the formation of a standard G chord, as he sang the first lyrics of the song. "I think I grew up in the passenger seat," transitioning from a standard G to an E then up to an A.

(Y/N) swayed back and forth to the sound of the music that smoothly found its way into her ears, she felt calm, like there was nothing to worry about, a sort of safety aura forming around her.

As minutes passed, Javier finished his tune and (Y/N) opened her eyes, smiling softly towards the man with the guitar. "You play so well, Javi."

Javier thanked her with a knowing smirk, "Would you like to learn? I can teach you."

She was surprised but touched by the offer. "I'd love to," she started. "I don't know how good I'll be though."

"It's not about how good you are," Javier reassured her. "It's about feeling the music in your heart." he offered the guitar to the girl.

(Y/N) grinned ear to ear, feeling a lot more confident, she accepted the guitar and rested it on her thigh, feeling uncomfortable with the way it dug in.

Javier noticed the discomfort on her face and helped reposition the guitar in a more appropriate position. "Better?"

(Y/N) nodded as Javi moved behind her and helped align her fingers on the fretboard.

"Okay, so take that finger and put it there...yeah, you're getting it! Now, put that finger there...that's right..."

As Javi guided the girl's fingers on the frets, she felt a sense of accomplishment but also felt a warmth creep its way into her cheeks, which she desperately tried to shield away. Javier began to move her hands in a strumming motion.

After awhile of Javier's help, he slowly began to retract his hands, letting (Y/N) strum by herself. It wasn't perfect, but she was definitely getting the hang of it.

"Look at you go!" he cheered her on, watching her face get more and more red. "You're doing so well!"

As she strummed the last chord of the song, Javi was full of excitement and was genuinely impressed. "That was so good! I'm so proud of you!" he sat down beside (Y/N) and playfully hit her in the shoulder. "You killed it!" Javier placed his arm over her shoulders and shook her slightly.

(Y/N) giggled as Javi shook her body. "Stoppppp!"

Javi, in his excitement, quickly kissed (Y/N)'s cheek, which sent chills down her spine.

(Y/N) stared at Javi, both of their faces red like tomatoes.

"S-Sorry I..."

Before Javi could finish, (Y/N) pulled him into a quick kiss.

As it ended, Javier cleared his throat, as to sound more manly. "That was nice."

"Would you like to do it again?" she asked, admittedly scared of his answer.

Javier smiled, "That'd be nice."
