Chapter 16: A Vacation

They never talked about it again after that day on the beach. He never bugged her and she never cried over it. But both felt the longer in hesitation as they spent the next day touring the island. Norman had Akin bring Emily clothes to change into, he had some already in a drawer for himself.

Touring the island, Emily and Norman, just take it all in holding onto each other closely and sharing intimate glances, neither let the other feel drifted apart or hollow.

Walking along the prime beach, Norman notices a beach shop.

"Wanna go swimming?" He looks down at her and she vaguely smiles.

"I don't have a bathing suit... and as flattering as it sounds, I'm not going nude." She a laughs and he starts gravitating toward the beach hut.

"They have swim stuff in here. Probably have a nice bikini for you." They start heading into the shop and a Fijian woman comes running over and hugs Norman. "Hello, Aiyana!"

"Norman, so long since I see you! How's Mingus?" She's around her 40's, a bit heftier, than some people in the island, but Emily can't help but love her instantly.

"He's great, how's Pukna?"

"Pain in ass. Haha, who's this beautiful woman you have?" Going over to Emily, Aiyana holds her at arms length and Then hugs her planting a kiss on each cheek.

"This is my fiancé, Emily. Emily, my good friend Aiyana."

"Nice to meet you." Emily shyly says and Aiyana smiles wide.

"May you be fertile and bring many beautiful babies to you." She kisses both Norman and Emily again and goes back behind the counter. "What can I do for you today?"

"We need swimsuits." Norman says and pulls Emily into his side. The softness of his skin on hers almost feels like an electric charge, preparing her to become the Energizer bunny.

"Perfect! I get you some!" Going to the back, she comes back out with three different kinda of bikinis and two different kinds of board shorts for Norman. "You go into back room and try them on. Let me know if they fits you."

Heading into the back, they both get undressed and look at each other. Emily is in a cute pink small bikini that has some Fijian markings on it. Waiting for Norman to come out, she puts her Ray bands on and takes a selfie in the mirror. When she hears the door open, Norman comes out in black board shorts, Ray bands, and a orange bikini top. Emily just laughs and they take a picture in the mirror together.

"Don't I look good?" He pulls her tight and he just giggles some more.

"Oh sexy boy, you know it."

"I can hear your sarcasm." He laughs and pulls her into his hug. Looking down, they see her scars. She becomes embarrassed and Norman just kisses her lips, hoping she doesn't become sad and want to go home instead of have fun. Dropping to his knees, he begins to kiss each scar again, and Emily begins to relax at his touch.

"I need you to look past them, Emmy. You're beautiful, smart, caring, and I love you. Those mean nothing. And if you think people will judge you for them, well fuck them." He says as he stands up and looks her in the eyes.

"Alright. They're nothing."

"I know, I look sexy as hell, but you my dear are sexier than I." Kissing her breasts, she smiles and looks at him.

"I don't really know if that's a compliment, but thank you. Haha, come on, let's go swimming." Pulling him out if the shop, they pay for their suits and then run across the beach. Emily chases Norman all over the hot sand and into the water. There aren't many other people on the beach, so they don't really care about PDA. As their day goes on and on, they only focus on how much they love each other.

Reaching their bungalow, Akin has already prepared dinner for them. Heading back to the bedroom, Emily finds a dress laid out for her. It's a beautiful red and black lacy dress and it fits perfectly. Heading back out to the dinning room, Norman is dressed in a nice shirt and pants. He's waiting to pull her chair out for her when she comes in. The table is set with a gorgeous veggetable lasagna and cheesecake. Akin opens a bottle of white blushing wine and Norman pushes Emily's chair in for her.

"Thank you Akin." Emily smiles at him and he bows and then leaves. Norman sits across form her and she's still gapping at him.

"What?"

"Did you plan all this? Like, really?" She seems surprised and he just smies shyly.

"I had this whole vacation planned out a while ago... then the whole thing came up... I thought you could use some kind of escape. Even if it might have been the end." He looks down at his plate and she can tell he's still worried and hurt.

"Norman... I... I don't know what to say about this. I ruined it." She feels terrible, but he reaches out and takes her soft hand.

"No. Emily, you didn't ruin anything. I love you and I don't think I'll ever stop." He kisses her knuckles and she just blushes.

"Have I told you lately that I love you?" Before she can continue, Norman starts singing.

"Have I told you lately that I love you? Have I told you there's no one else above you?" Looking up at him she lets him continue. He has a nice voice, she never knew he had.

Fill my heart with gladness take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do

For the morning sun in all it's glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
You fill my life with laughter and somehow you make it better
Ease my troubles that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the one, to the one

Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the one, to the one

And have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
You fill my heart with gladness take away my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do

Take away all my sadness fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that's what you do
Take away all my sadness fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that's what you do

"Wow, I didn't know you were Rod Stewert." She laughs and he just smirks.

"I hide my Rod very well." They both laugh at his witty comment and eat their dinner.

He is the perfect guy for her.
