"Excuse me?"
Yeosang made a quick spin to see who was calling out for him, already feeling nervous as the voice ran through his ears. The tone was no where near excusing nor patient, and the cold stare that met him matched the voice.
"Y-yes?" he almost mumbled, as he hurried towards the register.
"I'm here to pick up the usual for Mr. Park," the young woman, on the other side of the counter said, impatiently tapping her long nails against the counter.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know what that is?" Yeosang quietly admitted, his cheeks heating up and exposing his embarrassment, "M-my co-worker will be back in five minutes though..."
"I don't need it in five minutes, I need it now!" the woman snorted, typing on her phone while Yeosang almost fearfully watched her.
Yeosang nervously fiddled with the green apron that was wrapped around his waist, briefly wondering why she couldn't just wait - it would probably take him just as long, if not longer, to make the order anyway. But the woman seemed more intimidating that any other person he'd ever met, and Yeosang wasn't usually the one to feel scared of anyone.
"What... What is the order?" he then forced himself to ask.
"Two grande chai tea latte, three pump, skim milk, lite water, no foam, extra hot."
The woman flipped her long, golden hair back, and with a raised brow she looked at Yeosang with look that clearly told him to get his ass moving. Whoever she was, and this Mr. Park she was apparently working for was, she must be someone really important. Her pin-striped suit was fitting her perfectly, while a multi layered pearl necklace was decorating her slim neck.
"Oh... I... okay..." Yeosang replied, already regretting asking about that order.
In some way he wanted to tell her that it's only his second day at this job, and that his co-worker had to run to the pharmacy to pick up some medication for his mom, which he had promised to do yesterday but forgotten about. It was only ten minutes after opening hours, and Yeosang had told both his co-worker and himself that it wouldn't be a problem. But Yeosang already knew that someone like that woman didn't care about the problems of the common folk.
Moving, and living overseas had turned out to be way, way more expensive than Yeosang had predicted. He'd always seen himself as good at saving money, and although the scholarship covered the most important things, he soon found himself stressing about money all the time. He wanted to make friends with people at his new school, but as they always wanted to go out Yeosang started to feel the pressure. In the end the solution to his problem was simple; getting a job. A coffee shop had hired him, and he was thrilled. But right in this moment... Not as much.
