I knew Patton was right, Virgil might not say no, but I had my own anxiety to try and cope with before asking Virgil out. "Don't worry Patton, I will be asking him out, I don't want Roman asking him out for me," Patton of course had a confused face and I shook my head, "nevermind, just tell Virgil to meet me outside when the stars are out ok?" Patton just nodded and walked back out to the living area and I went up to my room, grabbed my ukulele, and started practicing I Can't Help Falling In Love, by Elvis Presley. I was humming the tune, when Roman came into my room and handed me the bouquet of flowers that arrived at the front door.
"Virgil almost saw the flowers, (Y/N)! Be more c-" Roman said before I interrupted him.
"Be more chill!~" I was quoting Be More Chill now, because Roman said, 'be more.'
"I was gonna say careful! But that was a great reference," Roman smiled and left my room.
I was nervous as I could tell it was almost time to confess my feelings to Virgil. The purple and black bouquet was next to me on the bed, ukulele in hand, I took a deep breath, and picked up the bouquet. "I think I'm ready...." I walked outside and waited for Virgil to walk out. Soon enough, I saw Virgil walk out and I handed him the bouquet of flowers he was of course confused.
"What's going on?" Virgil asked taking the bouquet of flowers, smelling them.
"Something I have been wanting to do for a long time...." I told him honestly, and he still had a confused look on his face, until I started singing and playing the ukulele, realizing what was going on, "wise... Men, say, only fools rush in~. But I can't help... Falling in love with you~. Like a river flows, gently down the stream. Darling so it goes~. Some things are meant to be~. Take.... My hand. Take my whole life too~.
