Chapter 4: Carnival Date

Ariana's POV

It was about 1:30PM when I started getting ready for my carnival date with Harry. He texted me last night saying he'd pick me up at 3:00, so that gives me an hour and 30 minutes to prepare. I searched for the perfect outfit. Having a mom that's a fashion designer has its perks. I always get new clothes that aren't even out yet. My closet was always really full, but sometimes I like to shop on my own and go get what my mom calls 'normal people' clothes.

When I found the perfect outfit, I put it on at once. I was really excited to spend today with Harry. I wore my long sleeved top with black stripes and tucked that into a red flowy skirt that reached just above the knee. I paired the outfit with my red bow tie doll shoes and my silver necklace with a heart pendant. I also put a black bow in my hair. 

When I was satisfied with my outfit, the doorbell rang. Harry's here! I grabbed my stuff and checked myself in the mirror for one last time. I went to the door and opened it to see Harry smiling at me.

"Hey," he said. "Ready to go?" he asked me.

"Yeah, sure," I said while locking the door.

"Is it okay if we walk there? I mean it isn't that far and it would give us a chance to you know, talk," he said

"Talk about what?" I asked

"Nothing much. I just want to be by you," he said casually. This caused me to smile at him. He just wants to be with me. He is so dreamy.

We started walking to the carnival, just talking about random things that came to our minds. When we reached there, we saw two little toddlers, a boy and a girl. The girl wanted more cotton candy because hers fell to the ground and the boy offered his cotton candy to her. She happily accepted it and kissed the boy on the cheek. They started chasing each other around the carnival. They were so cute! Hopefully, when they grow up, they'll have a happy ending because they started their story quite happily.

"Harry! Look they're chasing each other around! They're so cute!" I gushed over the two toddlers.

"Yeah they are," he said while smiling at me, "Do you want some cotton candy?" he asked.

"Yes please!" I said to him while smiling like a Cheshire cat.

He went over to the cotton candy stand, leaving me by myself. I was waiting patiently for him when an old lady came over to me and asked, "Is he yours?" she asked with a sparkle in her eyes. I didn't want to crush her feelings by saying no, so I said, "Yes, he's mine," I said.

"Don't ever let go of him. He's perfect for you. I let mine go and now I live everyday regretting it," she said sadly.

"Don't worry, I won't. And what's your name, by the way?" I asked her. What? I could need some motherly figure when my mum isn't around.

"I'm Harley. I live 2 houses down from yours," she said to me.

"Oh you're the house with the blue door, right? And I'm Ariana, by the way," I said while smiling at her.

"Yes dear, I am. It was nice talking to you. Have a wonderful date with your prince charming," she said while sending me a wink.

"Don't worry, I will," I said to her.

Just as she left, Harry came and gave me my cotton candy. "Who was that?" he asked

"Her name's Harley, she's an old friend. She lives 2 houses down from mine," I answered him.

"Oh, you mean the house next to Mr. Robert's house?" he asked.

"Yup," I said, popping the 'p'

"Anyway, what do you want to ride first?" he asked me.
