Chapter 11: Holiday Visits and Encounters

Ariana's POV

The girls and I were at the mall, looking for the perfect Christmas present. While we were at the clothing department, I looked up at Angela and smiled at her. Things haven't really been the same since I told the girls that Alex and I were together. How should I know that the day Alex and I were officially a couple was the same day Angela broke up with David? 

She was at a party with David and she excused herself to go and dance with some of her friends. She was laughing and having the time of her life, but when she looked back, she saw David in a full on make out session with her mortal enemy - Jocelyn. The worst thing was, Jocelyn and Angela used to be best friends, but they started drifting apart when their interests in school activities changed. Angela loved to dance, so she took up dance classes, but Jocelyn thought that it was lame and stupid and looked down on Angela because of that. Long story, short, Jocelyn just absolutely despised Angela because Angela had abilities that Jocelyn could never have or gain. Angela broke up with David that night and ran to Caitlin's house for comfort. I on the other hand, asked them where they were and got there as soon as possible. I burst into the door and just squealed about my day, but then I noticed Angela crying, so I felt absolutely guilty for being happy for myself, when I should be comforting my friend.

A few finger snaps brought me back to the present.

"Are you just going to stare into space like that or are you going to look for a present?" Caitlin asked as Angela giggled.

"Sorry, I was just..thinking of something," I replied, scanning the racks again.

"Well, pause your thinking for a minute and let's look for the perfect gift. I need to look good for Max," Caitlin winked at me, then chuckled.

Max was my cousin who lived in America. His dad got promoted and they had to move to America. I haven't seen him since his family visited us last summer. The girls were over one night and let's just say that Caitlin went 'gaga' for him.

The whole family is coming over for Christmas, so Caitlin was pretty excited on seeing Max in the neighborhood again.

"Caitlin! First of all Max is 18 and second of all, I heard he fancied another girl. Sorry Caitlin," I gave her a sad smile.

"And you think that's gonna stop me?" Caitlin laughed.

"You are definitely one of a kind, Caitlin. One of a kind," I said while shaking my head and laughing.

After that, we all went back to searching and shopping. Angela and Caitlin found their gifts first, making me the only one without a present yet. Eventually, I did find one and I thought it was the perfect one.

Harry's POV

"Make sure you guys come back on or before December 29th. You could go back to your families now, just make sure to come back on the 29th. Merry Christmas and a happy birthday to you Louis," Paul said to all of us.

I faced the other boys and said, "Merry Christmas lads!"

We all shared a group hug and when we pulled apart, Liam said, "See you on the 29th," he started gathering his belongings and shouted a "bye" on his way out.

Zayn came next, then Louis, doing the same. That left only Niall, Ru and I. 

"What are you guys doing for the holidays?" I asked them.

"Well, we're going to stay here for the 25th, then we're going to Niall's house on the 26th, then travel to my parents house on the 27th. We travel back here on the 28th and just hang out at the flat until the 29th," Ru answered me.
