Lucas's POV

The snow keeps piling up outside and my mom just keeps on baking random food. She's pulled down every container that she can reach to put food in and even when she can't reach them she'll just ask me to get it.

"This is the last one," I smirk handing to my mother.

"I'm sorry it's just I bake when I'm nervous," my moms got flour in her hair and all over her jeans.

"Why? Dad promised he'd try to make it," I said taking one of the cookies she baked.

"I know it's silly," my mom smiles.

"Can I go back upstairs now?" I smile.

"Sure but take some cookies up to Maya," she laughs looking at the containers full of cookies.

"Alright," I pick up the plate of cookies and grab to glasses of milk, "Just uh lay of the baking."

"Love you," my mom shouts.

"Love ya too," I yell down the stairs.

It's pretty dark upstairs and the only light I see if coming from Maya's room. My hands are full and I can't knock on the door to open it because my hands are full, "Maya open up."

"What's the password?" She shouts back.

"Maya," I wine.

"What's the password?" She laughs.

"I don't know."

"Then guess."

"Maya."

"Lucas."

"Open up."

"What's the password?"

"I've got cookies."

Maya's head pops out the door, "Why didn't you say that sooner?"

"Such a dork," I shake my head and she takes the two cups of milk.

"But your dork," Maya laughs kissing my nose.

"True."
