Maya's POV
Dinner with Lucas's parents went surprisingly well and I'm glad his dad actually made it for once. I could tell Lucas was happy his dad could make it and that made me happy.
Lucas and I walked home instead of taking a cab because he wanted to tell me something. He didn't say anything on the way there and that scared me.
"So thanks for walking me home," I said once we were outside of my apartment building.
"No problem. I hope you had fun tonight," Lucas replied.
"Yeah I actually did. I'm glad I got to meet your dad."
"I can tell me likes you a lot."
"That's good right?"
"Very."
My buzzed but I ignored it. Lucas didn't even notice it going off.
Lucas cleared his throat, "You should come back over again. I'm sure they'd love to see you again."
"That's good," I mumbled.
"What's good?" Lucas asked taking my hand.
"That there's going to be a next time," I said.
My phone buzzed again.
"Of course there's going to be a next time."
Cue my phone going off for the third time but Lucas noticed this time.
"Do you need to get that?" He asked.
I pulled my phone out of my jacket pocket and looked at the unread messages. Riley. All of them from Riley.
I shook my head, "Nope."
Lucas gave me a reassuring smile, "Good because I have to tell you something."
"Okay go on," I said ignoring the vibrate signaling another text.
"I know we haven't been going out too long but I still feel this huge connection to you. And when I say I like you I mean I really like you."
My heart stopped. He was going to say he loved me.
"Maya I think that I lo-" he began.
My phone vibrated again.
"I'm sorry but I think this is really important so I have to go," I said leaning up and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Okay I'll tell you later I guess. Bye."
"Later!" I shouted running into the building and then up the stairs.
I stopped at the top of my floor when I saw Riley curled up into a ball crying.
"Riley what's wrong?" I asked sliding up next to her.
"Farkle kissed me and I couldn't kiss him back because I still love Lucas. I ran out of the movies and came straight here," she sobbed.
"How...how long have you been here?"
"I don't know. Awhile. Every time I stop crying I think of something we did together and it just makes me even more upset."
"I'm sorry."
"I want to hurt him the way he hurt me."
I swallow hard, "Riley he loves me."
"What did you say back?" She asked pushing her hair behind her ear.
"I didn't."
"Why not?"
"I was going to hold it off longer. Make him miss me more once he finds out the truth," I lied.
"Oh," Riley wheezed.
"I think it's time."
"What are you gonna do?"
I pulled out my phone, "I'm gonna call him."
Slowly I dialled in my password and then his number. He picked up after three rings.
"Hello?" Lucas chirped.
I sighed, "Can you meet me at my house in twenty?"
"Leaving now," Lucas said, "I'll see you soon."
Riley grabbed me wrapping her arms around me. I rubbed her back as she cried into my shoulders.

Ughhhh. This sucks. I mean we all know what's going to happen but it will still make us hate me for writing it. lol yes I did write that weird. Give me a break its like 2:30 a.m. and I've just written an emotional chapter. lol it wasn't even emotional.
So I guess get ready for the next chapter. Not sure when it will be up because I want to make it a good one.
Thanks for 14k though xoxoxo
