The sight of my Mercedes-Benz being put up on a tow truck made me feel so heartbroken. Only because my parents are gonna see it's broken into, they're going to wonder why it was over here in the neighborhood in the first place and that's not even the worse part. They're gonna see that Shawn was here to witness it.
Police had arrived the scene a little while ago to arrest the guy that did. Shawn was pushing him around and making conversation with him, but I didn't dare approach them. Nicki and Lauren stayed close by with me. I thought my life was gonna end when I saw my parents and brothers pulling up like maniacs.
They got out and ran over to me. Daddy and Jacion went to the police that were examining the car.
"Baby, are y'all okay? What happened?" Mama exclaimed.
Mikall, Solange and Brandon were following behind her.

I didn't say anything, "Her car was broken into." Lauren said.
"Okay." She said. "Are you okay, though?"
"Yeah, I was leaving when it happened. The person that did it didn't get far. He's being arrested over there."
"Well all that matters is that you're okay. We're not gonna worry about the car. I'mma go see what they're saying over here."
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said in an annoyed tone.
She walked off. The whole time I was watching Shawn continuing to yell at the guy. Was it because he was sticking up for me?
"Does he know him?" I asked.
Nicki hissed, "I know you don't wanna hear this sis, but that's his younger brother."
Holy shit, I thought.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Yeah," They both nodded.
I didn't know how to feel. I told them about how Jacion acted when he picked me up a couple weeks ago, so they know how they feel about Shawn. Once they find out it's his brother, it may really be over for me AND him.
"Beyoncé," Daddy called.
He motioned for me to come here.
Nicki and Lauren followed little ways behind. I stepped in front of my brothers to come face to face with him, Mama and two police officers.
"We don't want to scare you or anything. We just want to ask you a couple of questions about what you saw."
