A drop fell from the sky
And all at once
There was no need to fly
For right at our feet
Was a pool of earths blood
Flooding through the street
As we stood there and wept
For if the sky was to cry
And ground and cloud were to meet
Then to fly was to walk
And to walk there was no use
For nothing was left to fly over to
As tears fell from the heavens
And the earth bled out
The sun didn't have but a clue
No morning there to rise for
No evening but to set
For the sun had dribbled down some too
To mix with all else
A single drop to tie the knot
And set the world on edge
For just a drop from the sky
Could alone send shivers down my spine
