Beccy's POV:

Ever since the party where demi and I kissed nothing has really happened, we’ve been texting every now and then but neither one of us is ready to get back together again. A couple of days after the party I booked a big movie role that was going to included amazing actors including Jenifer Lopez, crazy right?! The movie is set to release in over a year meaning that filming would start in about 8 weeks. Filming the movie would mean living in New York for 3 months which is something I’ve always wanted to do, but the timing feels like a curse. I would be away from all my friends, family and demi. I know that demi and I have agreed to just be friends but I still really enjoy being around her, she makes me happy. I already have an apartment ready for me when I’m staying there, I would be moving out there 2 weeks before filming so I could get settled in and ready to film. Today I’m going shopping with Hailee (Steinfeld) for some last-minute apartment essentials, she would also fly over with me for a couple of days as her way of saying goodbye. She wouldn’t take no for an answer so that was the plan.

Moving to NYC was getting closer and closer and I’m starting to regret this decision, I’ve always been the type of person to miss home so bad that I would only leave for business trips and vacations, moving house was also the scariest thing. Especially moving house to a completely different city on the opposite side of the country. I’ve been spending as much time with my loved ones before I needed to leave and I promised demi that I would meet with her today. This was another thing I was stressed about because we haven’t seen each other since the party, where we kissed let’s remember. Awkward is an understatement.

I’m in my car right now on the way to meet demi at a restaurant for lunch, I’ve been hoping and praying the whole day that there’s no paparazzi to spin this friendly meet up into a date in the tabloids. As I pass the restaurant to get to the parking lot, I see paparazzi outside. Demi must already be inside waiting for me. I exit my car and make my way towards the restaurant entrance preparing myself for the questions shouted at me.

pushed through the crowd of paparazzi with the help of the restaurant doorman, when I entered the building I silently thanked the lord for the small number of people dining instead of the place being full. I scanned to room looking for demi, spotting her sitting in the back corner holding her chin with a giant smile across her face as we shared eye contact. I quickly made my way over to her embracing her in a warm hug and sitting down engaging in small talk as we waited for our order to arrive, which demi had order whilst waiting on my arrival. We had eaten here before so she knew what I like and didn’t. She began speaking about the new music she was in the middle of recording and writing and I just sat there admiring how her face lit up when she spoke about the thing she was most passionate about, music.

“What,” she asked with a small laugh, I must’ve revealed my creepy staring face. “nothing, I’m just listening”. Soon after the food arrived and we changed to conversation onto New York, “are you excited for a new experience” she questions, I looked down towards my food as I answered “yes and no, I’m excited for the first week but I know that after that I’m going to hate being away from here and everyone I know” she gave me a sympathetic smile and spoke “I don’t think it will be that bad, plus you know people out there and can have people visit you” I nodded and realised how much I was going to hate the move.
