recap :
He looks taken aback, "because if you did, you would know NOT to speak to my mate like that. Now, everyone but my men and my mates mom, get out of here before I rip your throat out," I demand, watching as the clan of small creatures tremble but reluctantly return into the forest.
My mate begins to walk away too, but I yank her back, inhaling her calming scent.
"Not you baby, you will always be right next to me," I give her a gentle kiss to her reddening cheek. I mentally coo at her cuteness.
When I turn my attention from my love, I notice her mother and my men staring at me expectantly.
"Let's go back to my kingdom, we will speak there," I reveal then return my attention back to the beauty standing in front of me.

Well, that was crazy.
Luckily, I didn't burst into tears like I wanted to. They were going to take me away from him. They were going to take him away from me.
I might not understand the whole mate thing but I think it has something to do with my attachment with him. I feel the need to always be around him, to wrap myself into his warm embrace.
"Little one," Abaddon's voice brings me back to reality. He stared at me with a strange emotion on his face.
"Baby, I called your name three times, what's your pretty little head thinking so hard about?"
A deep blush warms my face, and he raises one of his perfectly shaped eyebrows.
"I'm waiting baby girl," he hums, grabbing me and placing me on his hip like a toddler. I shyly snuggle my face into his neck, mumbling my answer.
"I need you to speak up love," he teases, nipping at the tip of my ear. Shoots of pleasure rack my body, my ears tingling at the sensation.
"I-I was thinking about you," I mutter. He just hums, running his nose across my neck.
"Sire," a voice pipes up from behind me, causing a snarl to retreat from Abaddon's mouth.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have arrived," the man continues, not an ounce of fear in his eyes. I wiggle my legs, attempting to get down. My mother walks up to me, her eyes holding sadness as she wraps her frail arm around my shoulder.
"Rose, love, things are gonna change now," she whispers in my ear, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. I look at her confused, squeezing her into a tight embrace.
"What do you mean mama? Nothing will change," I giggle, skipping up to Abaddon and taking his hand into mine. His hand completely engulfed mine. Only then did I finally notice the kingdom we walked up to.
A large gate surrounded the kingdom, creating a deep sense of safety. The large castle like structure towered over the trees, looking looming yet welcomed me at the same time.
"Welcome home your majesty," the funny looking man bows, meeting my eyes and smiles welcoming. I wave and continue to follow Abaddon through the gates, glancing back to make sure my mother was following too. As we entered, we were surrounded by a garden full of beautiful flowers.
Guards who jogged by stopped and bowed down to the dominating man in front of me, some even staring at me in curiosity. Abaddon ignores them and pulls me through the wonderful garden, towards a large wooden set of double doors, reaching at least seven feet above me.
