"She told me that you would save her from her demons, and that she would save you from yours. I'm begging you as a old woman, take care of her. She's sensitive and precious. She has immense power that she herself does not know about," she continues.

"Now, is there a room I can be alone with my daughter?" She asks, backing away like nothing happened. I nod numbly, thousands of questions running through my mind. I guide the frail older woman to a joint room to my office and set my clinging mate on the floor.

I stand, watching the woman circle my Rosebud.

"Please, give us privacy," she mutters, not even glancing up at me. I push myself off the wall and exit the room. Plopping down in my chair exhausted, I think about the story that the woman told me.

Two hours passed before the door opened my my mates mother strolled out with a timid looking Rosebud following. Anxiety knawed at my mind, reminding me of the state my mate was in because of my kingdom. I instantly felt at ease as her alluring scent reached my nose.

She was avoiding my gaze, staring at her mothers back with a wavering glance. I could feel her agony, betrayal, and most of all, lonelyness, as she knew what was to come.

Her mother, patted me on the shoulder, "give her some time and we will be back to normal," and turned towards her daughter with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry my love, but you know Abaddon will keep you safe," she brings Rosebud into a hug. She whispered something in her ear that I could not make out.

"Take one of my men with you, I want you to reach your lands safe," I command, hoping to ease my mates worries. She nods and slowly exits my office. I turn my attention back to my mate, noticing her nervously glancing towards me. I could feel her need on the bond.

"Little one, come here. We need to talk," I coo, watching her shaky knees. She climbs in my lab and buries her face into my neck. I feel calm. Cool. Collected. Home. Her breath fans against my neck creating goosebumps.

"Are you okay, love?" She nods at my question, not lifting her head.

"What did your mother do?" I calmly ask, running my fingers through her hair.

She shrugs, running her nose along the base of my neck, "Chanted."

I raise my eyebrow, "Chanted?" She shakes her head in agreement, humming. Without pushing the topic, I move to my next question.

"Do you know what will happen now?" She slightly moves back, looking up at my under her eyelashes. That glance itself was enough to send me insane. My cock jumping at the unintentional seductive look she pulled off. Her beautiful white locks framed her soft features.

"Baby," I groan, throwing my head back. I can't even have a simple conversation with her without wanted to rip off her revealing skirt and devouring her pussy until she's begging for me.

She just stares at me, blinking.

"Queen?" She asks. I nod, gauging her reaction. She just kinda nods, nuzzling her face in my neck again.

"I might not understand this whole mate thing, and I may not know how to lead a kingdom, but as long as I'm with you, I know I can learn."

hey guys sorry for the filler chalter.

i'm doing this to try and get some more ideas in before big shiz goes down. plus, i'm a little behind on updating.

i'm trying to get on a schedule of writing so that soon I can give y'all an updating schedule.

i tried to add a little peak into the smut before i wrote a whole scene.
