Chapter 25

Amy's POV~~~

Friday

Zayn had fallen asleep next after he finished crying. The silence in the room was only broken by his occasional soft snores. I couldn't sleep though, to any thoughts buzzing around in my head. I'm going to leave this earth sometime tomorrow.

Tomorrow. Saturday. June 18. The day I die and the day Sarah loses her sister. Now it's alaso the day when her best friend leaves. Not just her best friend, though, oh no. It's worse than that. She may not have admitted it to herself yet, but I see the way Sarah looks at Louis.

He returns the look with an equal amount of passion. It's love, just sheer and pure love. Louis puts a smile on Sarah's face, one I only see when she's with me or Zayn. Smiling hasn't been something common for Sarah since our father began the abuse.

But when you do see that genuine smile, it lights up the entire earth. It can brighten anyones day in a matter of seconds. Lately, I haven't seen her smile. I plan on seeing it one more time before I've got to leave though.

Zayn stirred on the hospital bed next to me. I don't really mind him sleeping next to me. Yes, he's a famus boyband member; but to me, he's a brother. The older brother I never had. He's always been there for me and for Sarah.

He turned his head to look at me. Since he was laying down and I was sitting up, I got to look down at him. I've always admired his eyes, not in a creepy way. Just, looking at the unique beauty and flurry of emotions that hide behind the iris.

His brown eyes that could almost pass as hazel. If you look close enough, there's little flecks of an unknown color. The flecks shimmer in an almost golden haze, lighting up his eyes when he's happy and flashing them when he isn't.

You can tell alot about a person just by their eyes. Zayn's scream comfort, caring, kindness, and a certain amount of pain that he keeps handled. Not to mention the unknown mistery that lurks in the shimmering gold flecks.

Zayn moved again until he was sitting up next to me. We sat in silence for a while until he spoke up, "What do you know Ames?"

I stared at him for a moment, trying to grasp some sort of uncertainess in his voice. I only caught the smal bit of unwavering fear and slight sadness in his tone. He's always been good at keeping his emoitions in, but I've always been good at seeing through peoples' facades.

"You leave Saturday. Louis will leave Saturday. I leave tomorrow." I whispered.

He shifted again, this time moving to face me and pulling me into his lap. Zayn gives good hugs. It's kind of a talent of his. He's good at comforting even when he isn't trying. I think that's part of why Sarah trusted him so quickly.

"What do'ya mean?" He asked, gently pulling my chin up to meet his eyes again.

At that moment, another person came into my room. We both turned to look at the short, blonde nurse. She smiled sheepishly, obviously knowing that she interupted something. I grinned at her, "What do you need?" I asked quietly.

My throat has been kind of scratchy for awhile now, the doctor says it's a common thing for people on the verge of death. Well, she didn't say it like that exactly; but that's what she meant.

The nurse came further into the room carrying a tray of nasty hospital breakfeast, "It's time to eat and take your medicine."

Pain medicine to help ease my headaches. Not normal head pains though, it's like a strong pressure is pushing on my skull in more than one place. It feels like my head is going to explode, like when you go under the water to deep and your ears pop.
